Expect it will be full of references to how (in their opinion) TNT is good value.
I'm just trying to spread some "free" love....🤣

Given their are short Eurosport highlights on YouTube which are normally better edited than a E1 or E2 highlights show I would not rule out some race coverage.

Promise I won't wear any more bad shirts....will that do it ?

What - someone is looking at Adam??

I quite like Orla and Adam. I've got a feeling that watching that program will make me hate them. I can already feel how cack it's going to be.

You may well be right ...!
But OTOH I've seen plenty of their Grand Tour episodes where the studio chat was the best bit, and I happily listen to hours of racing discussion in podcast form (i.e. no actual racing or highlights), so I reckon it's worth giving it a go.

Thanks Adam2468motorway! x

I just watched the first episode of The Cycling Show. Lots of fluffy build up and hyperbole. Gonna be super super exciting. And we're going to have super super exciting guests.

Cut to the first guest, it's ... a potato.

Potato: "I'm super super excited"

Oh hang on, my mistake. It's not a potato, it's Steve Cummings. He's super super exciting.

Yeah, there were similar comments here at The Towers. Love Steve's racing and he knows a lot but he's famously unexpressive.

What was with all the football analogies too? And do they know any footballers besides Messi and Ronaldo?

And minutes of random clips of random races from past seasons made us wonder if someone had slipped something in our drinks, or whether the show had run short because they didn't have the highlights rights for TDU and UAE. Or was it just a way of sneaking more TNT adverts into the show without it counting as part of the 12 or whatever minutes of adverts per hour?

Maybe the style will settle down once they find their swing. It surprised me that they're going weekly. I thought it had been announced as monthly.

Anyway, thank fark for this series starting:

ITV 4 HD Sun 9 Mar
Cycling: Paris - Nice Highlights
19:00 - 20:00 (60 min.)

Stage One: Le Perray-en-Yvelines - Le Perray-en-Yvelines: Gary Imlach presents highlights from the first stage of cycling's 2025 Paris - Nice race.

I suggest the production team at TNT watch and learn how well it can be done. Even v2v/ITV's stripped-down bargain-basement greenscreen production in that former cinema in Ealing beats TNT's giddy CGI waffleathons.

I tried watching the cycle show via the discovery app. I only made it to the first ad break then gave up. I’ll try and record it instead, I am really not sitting through adverts, even for Orla and Adam.

Thanks for posting this, I didn't know about it being on ITV so it will be good to see some cycling.
