Go for the easy choice of stage 11, it looks like a nice gentle flat course....

I've got to get it out of the way DP... I've set up a few ghosts between an hour and 1.05.. if I'm peddling squares, I'll sit up and cycle blue numbers all the way up.. I ain't nowt to prove.. bloody hills..

Race for you tomorrow perhaps?

Tried a Zwift social ride today. I tried to stick with the group but we kept stumbling into other riders so half way through I had no idea if I was still in my original group.
From there on I just rode my own race and gave the throttle a twist.

However, it was a much smoother ride and the Bkool watts seemed to be on par all the way through.
Regarding the drafting, I just don't feel I'm getting any, but that's the same in Bkool.

Lars, you didn't ride with your pedals as power-meter?
The draft is there but some say not pronounced enough. I gave some numbers yesterday to show how it worked for me. I could see effect in my watts readout top left of screen or in my watts /kilo right side OD screen.
I agree it can seem quite chaotic but that's one of consequences of having so many riders on course at any one time. Helps if the ride is set up so once you log in you are all wearing same kit and have ride suffix after your name. Ride lead, if a social ride not a race, will have a yellow beam coming from their head! Visible en route and on the map top right of screen. Your group should be only group of riders listed down right hand side of screen too. Also, lots of people just ride the flats whereas I nearly always ride the hills or mountain where there are fewer riders and less chaotic.

I'm going to do the first couple of nations cup stages back to back if anyone fancies a ride.
Sorry TT by the time i got kitted out and ready to go you were 18 minutes in, not that i could have stayed with you long anyway, so i went for the gentle WC11 and you're right DP it is quite sedate, much more pleasant than WC10, i reckon you power guys will do it sub 30 minutes

No worries Steve, I bailed before the end anyway.

LB, I don't know all the ins and outs BUT;

You can download an add one to enable you to choose any course.
You can also download add on to give you a mario kart style map so you can see where you are on the course
You can choose to ride and race or group ride. Once you start up app/program you choose ride then, 10 min before start you join the group at the pier riding virtual turbos until time to ride starts and you all set off. Each of you will have same kit - at least on rides I have done- so easy to spot each other on the ride. Or you can add name of group or ride to your name. All the riders listed down right hand side will be ones in your race ride and you can see time in front or behind and w/k they are putting out.
I don't know answer to your q except but lots of races are live streamed and commentated and links are normally on say zsun fb page or Zwift riders page.
Changes due in few weeks mean closed races- gr8 for cyclechat!- and spectating and you can choose to have non racers invisible.
Discord is used to. People chatting and singing(!) and telling jokes while doing group ride today. Imagine the pi**taking we could do.
Zwiftblog has lots of info.Titanium Geek has an excellent resource for basics and more of Zwift
Beginning to think it is time to move over to Zwift

Thanks Whorty. I caught your ghost near the top of the second climb and once over the top I put my foot down to the end. It went better than expected.. please pass on my thanks to your ghost.

Get well soon - at least you've still time to get right again and get back on the DD training..

Knee specialist:tongue:

This may be ITB which as you all know now arises from weak glutes causing imbalance in hip movement straining ITB as it moves down into knee joint. Enters low down on side. ITB not inflamed by cycling cause leg doesn't extend enough which is why cycling-though not out of saddle sprinting- doesn't cause pain. Though knee may react if already inflamed. What causes inflammation is apparently walking because your leg extends so time off bike walking may be revealing an ITB issue. Ice pack and anti inflammatory for now perhaps and I can recommend some stretches but only AFTER you have warmed up on bike.
Hope this helps.

Yes bob got to say i really enjoyed our short but good fun ride despite all my "Problems" even had to restart my phone as the zwift app wasn't working properly so wasn't 100% into it, wait till we do a proper ride^_^
