Had a second go at WC Stage 10 earlier as I lost a couple of minutes due to my connection problems when I first did it. Plugged the ant+ dongle into an extension and put it right next to the trainer, and didn't use Bluetooth at all and all worked perfectly (phew!). Next experiment will be to use the Bluetooth headphones but keep everything well away from the laptop and hope it still works ok.

The ride showed up straight away (none of this greyed out nonsense) although it's not immediately updated the league. But when it does I should jump from 13th to 6th so a good evening's work!

I think Zwift is OK but the huge variety in Blool is what I love. The video routes are good boredom motivators. Plus the chain gang races are crazy fun.
When Bobinski starts offering free beer we will know he is in the pay of the Zwiftians.

I will save that for Wales!

OK guys... possible Nations Cup problem here! I have a knee issue and need some immediate care ideas!
I have not ridden since Wednesday due to a head cold, however my left knee has become swollen and painful over the last 48 hours. The issue is inside the left knee but quite low down, about 45 degrees from the knee cap.
From what I can see on the interweb, the pain is situated in the Medial meniscus area of the knee.
I'm starting on anti inflammatory pills but not sure what else to try... any ideas?
My considered advice would be:

- Take drugs
- Ice to reduce swelling
- More drugs
- Rest up - you won't lose any significant amount of CV fitness between now and the Nations Cup
- Ignore any discomfort during the Nations Cup and be assured any long term damage is in the service of your country (drugs might help)

(N.B. Disclaimer: I am not a qualified medical professional)

Had a go tonight with all spurious Bluetooth turned off. Did work much better on the first ride I did so am becoming fairly convinced that is involved somewhere.

I then found though that when I tried to do another ride it couldn't see my trainer. Have had this a few times before and when I go into settings it suddenly finds it.

Never seems to waver on my cadence sensor so am now wondering if it is a problem with the trainer. Any thoughts from you bright chaps about anything else I can try?

Yep, down from about 101kg after Xmas to around 95kg now. Still plenty to lose. My aim is to get to 88 kg before the end of the wc and redo some of the uphill stages.
Interesting DP following a very similar trajectory down from 101 to 95 over the last few weeks.

Have largely chopped sugar out of my diet and whilst I miss it like I would miss Sofia Vergara if I was dating her and then she dumped me it does seem to be removing the excess bits of me at about 2kg a week.

Got a couple of big rides in the real world in May so trying to be a bit less of the man mountain I currently am.

Save it for Whales instead, apparently they really like it.
My wife was shooting black and white film last weekend. They must have known I had beer on board. IMG_3424.JPG

That's great going @Soarerv8 I bet you feel a lot better for it. Its great to be able to get the heart rate up without fear of too many problems although I find that if I lose too much weight too quickly it can affect my muscle strength so I'm holding back this week. Also, my weight loss is going in stages, which is probably me getting a thirst for beer and being weak willed!
2kg a week is quite a lot to lose - I have aimed for 1kg when dieting which still allows me to be naughty on the weekend!:mrpig: I even had some crackling with my roast last night (that sounds slightly wrong as it was from a fellow :mrpig:)

I've just had a response from Bkool regarding their inequality of other makes of trainer. See below

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for your message. There is not, there was not and there won't be such disadvantage for any non-Bkool trainers, that's all we can say about that thread. It is just not true.

See you at Bkool,

Bkool Team.
