A couple of questions that someone may be able to answer

Since the update how does the trainer (I have quite an old model) update the firmware?.......i am never asked to plug the trainer in via USB any more.

I am sure I had to enter data about my bike, gears, wheel size etc.....................wheres it gone? ...............I can't find it,,, (do i need it)
and an observation.......................
Since the latest software update things seem smoother and inclines more realistic during gradient changes.

Really enjoying the sessions and the routes that have been uploaded...........thanks

I was wondering the same thing on the firmware because I got my trainer 2 days ago and didn't even have a USB to plug into the unit!
So just assumed that it updated itself via the USB dongle?

Thanks

Did the Col du Tourmalet this morning. ..would like to meet the guy who did this in 30 mins:eek::heat:
The real life record on Strava is 51:27 (Laurens Ten Dam). http://www.climbing-records.com/ gives him 48:36. I'm not sure why there's a discrepancy - different start point?
There are slightly faster times, but by convicted dopers so we'll ignore those.
30 minutes isn't possible without using an engine.

It took me 2 hours, and I was pleased with the time

Without plugging the turbo into your computer I don't think it can update but the software installed on your computer can be updated in the usual way via Internet ... And the gears , wheel size is only asked when setting a plan up I think

I have a time on a route of one hour, but I stopped the route after that time, it still shows as 1 hour even though I had 5 miles to go. So I guess the 30 minutes is the same, he crashed and burnt and gave up.

The FAQ says they should be assigned "Incomplete" status, but I've never seen it recorded anywhere.

Yup...I opted for the tacx bracket...but there are other ones out their...and I'm pretty sure someone on here rigged something up...the tacx bracket is decent enough bit of tight squeeze on my bars due to the top brake levers (cx bike)...which I think I'm gonna remove. ..never used them
