Boy did I want that down hill to stop !
There was a mass attack behind and nothing I could do
Well done all ! And thanks again - really enjoyed it - different tactics on Saturday
Video mode and a beer in the bottle?

Well done everyone!
I find October/November indoors to be much like last year: I’m way behind from the getgo and spend it all trying to catch up (not succeeding) and then I’m more or less done. Hopefully by January I have built up some strengh again to be more competetive (for more than 10 minutes). I’d be a bit worried had this not been the case also last two years. Strangely I’m doing a lot better outdoor, but it is a bit different though...

@Randyberlin Alaska lives trump then!
We have twice as many mail in votes that they won't even count until next Tuesday, but I'm sure trump will win the 3 electoral votes. This is one crazy country when a populist can win 69 million votes. But like I say thank god he can't control himself. If he could even pretend to be normal we would be a fascist country. I just hope its over soon.

I found the 1st month really hard even though I'd done loads of outdoor cycling this year.

I will spoil you the final which can be useful for those who will come head to head with other opponents in the last meters of the race: the very last 15 or 20 meters (I didn't pay much attention, I was upset ...) are in a very steep climb!
My Elite Direto XR trainer crashed! And my 96 Kg with him ...
I advise you, if you are not already, to get up on the pedals promptly just before the final climb.
I just beat you, good time you set without any opponents to keep you hungry

Last night on the downhill I was in 50-11 and pedalling 110 , although the watts were very low , there wasn’t much more I could do - hopefully I will learn from this and try to either latch on and draft ( if that will work ) or try to build a time gap buffer knowing it will be eaten . Got to try something different to shorten the gap to Keith 😳 he took off and flew

Great job, shimceltic!
Yes, that's right, I couldn't benefit from any drafting effect because it was just me in my race.
But, in reality, all virtualcycling software, in relation to my weight, turns out to be generous with me in the same or similar paths to this one.
And unfortunately, rightly !, instead they penalize me a lot when the road climbs ...
But that's right!
If one day I decide to eat less (perhaps) and not drink more beer (ever!!!), maybe I will be able to perform better.
However, at present you are certainly superior to me; but I will try to get closer ... in short, I have to work on it. It will be tough because you don't have a tendency to give up in the end. You have excellent resilience.
Now I'm going to take a ride on Veloton; I've been beta testers for over a month ... cool !!!

I've got a 52-11 but have exactly the same problem on descents...I literally can't go any faster and have to just accept that >I'm going to get dropped. I set myself targets for the top of climbs that I think will be enough to get me to the bottom of the next descent still in contention. For example I wanted 30 seconds on you (and the wolves chasing you down) at the top of the last long descent last night, which did prove to be enough. But yes you have to make the most of it on the sections that favour you to compensate for the parts that don't. I also decide who (usually @AndyMacca ) I have to beat (or a winning/losing margin to them) to get a beer afterwards.
