Oh, look at that, the chain gang (and Mountain Goat) league stages have appeared!

Perhaps our emails prompted someone to take a look ...

I think we're committed to the handicap chase now, the cheddar short climb can be done any time until the 4th, perhaps we can find a time for the velodrome before it expires (Sunday)?

Anyone fancy it tonight, after the chase?

I did the velodrome and Cheddar ride before I left town. If there is as way to count it I appreciate it. If not the way everyone else is improving last place plus 5% is not that bad. Every time I think my own improvements are going to result in a higher finish the others are improving faster. I'm looking to score some black market Snickers and Ribina.

Randy, I had just posted on your Wall against the rides, if you save short incomplete sessions against the two league stages (Cheddar and Velodrome), I'll adjust the times to match your results from the full rides, since the league was broken at the time.

Cheddar could be done at any time in the next four days, solo or as a small group.

OK, for the Chase who's starting off tonight? Paul, are you up for it? Wheely, Zach? If not then I guess it's Monte to start.

I'd like to start the warm-up so the first rider starts at 7:00 bang on, then depending on who starts the staggered starts will be between 7:00pm and 7:15pm or so.

I guess we should aim for 7pm'ish as usual, so it depends on the earliest starter that can run tonight. Basically everyone will start sometime between 7pm and 7:15pm or so.

Procedure tonight...

I will start the session Pe around 6:50pm and the warm up will end and the first person starts around 7pm.

The live tab only shows the most recent 20 sessions so you should use the filter -> advanced search to find it, otherwise it will quickly drop off the end of the list.

Look for the session in the Live tab using the filter, click the right arrow (next to Apply) to get to the advanced search

then search for cyclechat, chain or gang by typing it in and clicking apply

The session will be password protected with "chase" (no quotes) so it should be easy to spot as it will have a padlock.

You then get prompted where to join, and you can still see the time Underway underneath, so as your handicap time comes up click No and you are straight into the ride at the start

Pedal like hell until the pain finally stops ...

Don't forget to Save your session at the end!

No sign of Paul, Zach or Wheely, but since it's late and just in case, I'll start the session without them, and you can all join at your pre-assigned handicap.

I'll stop the warm-up at 7pm,

Everyone then joins in as above, as the time underway hits their handicap.

Gutted, got home at 7:20pm, and missed the race. Had to watch from the stands. Bike wasn't on the turbo, no kit ready, would have been way way behind.
Was looking forward to this one too!

My cunning plan backfired, as the cheering kids jumped on the power supply cable. It took me a minute or so to figure out what was wrong. I'm not sure I could have stayed with Bill for much longer though.
