Think I can do a week today at 630pm. As important probably the slowest, will I need to start it? If so, I will need simple instructions please!
They will be simple. Adam will tell all of us how long to wait after the race starts before we get going. A list posted here at a guess.

Yep, I will work it all out and post clear instructions. I will make it a password protected run too, so we don't get any randoms ruining the crazy finish. If anyone would like to do it, but hasn't got a Huez run time in, let me know, and I'll try to work out an appropriate handicap based on your other runs.

Did you notice, Bill and Geoff, how crazily my power readout was fluctuating last night on that Goat run? It seems worse since the latest software update. The latest firmware update had made it better, but it does seem to have regressed somewhat now.
Anyone else found this?

I can still start the race, Paul, so I will initiate warmup, probably at 6:20pm, so it starts bang on 6:30pm, it just means that when the counter hits zero, you are the only one to go.

I did indeed Adam. Your power fluctuations were massive. Even mine with no firmware updates is much less fluctuating than that. You were up and down almost 100w at times.

Sounds like torture to me! I did try and look in using my IPad but it didn't show in the live section. It's a real shame, I would have liked to give some encouragement. Well done you two!
I hope to at least give it a go tonight though it has involved delicate negotiations with Mrs B to have access to the front room and the big screen for a couple of hours.

Midweek suits me too.

Just a thought -we sit on the line until our allotted time to start. Will bkool not think we wish to quit if we don't pedal? Will it sit happily for that length of time without doing something funny?

Looking forward to this though. Should be great craic!

Out of interest Bob, did you use the filter to try and find the ride? If you type in "goat" it should come up as the only ride in the Live tab if one of the goats is out on track.
If you give that ride a go tonight, make sure you leave plenty of spare horses for the final half. It is rather long.

That's a good point. Should be easy to test though. I'll give it a go tonight if I remember.

It might come up with a 'Do you want to quit this session' type message but leave that on the screen. The time spent standing still might have an effect of the average counters (20 minutes of 0 watts and 60 minutes of 270 watts should come out at 202 watts for the session). I wonder if it'll drop the fitness levels?

I didn't see a search function once on the live page Bill, rather a filter section at the bottom. I did try and look via the leagues tab but it only seemed to offer me the option to start a new ride rather than observe a current one. Of course, the Ipad was not connected to the turbo which might affect access?

Yes, I fear snickers may not be enough:unsure:

Agreed. I don't think it'll drop the fitness levels though. I've done some very slow rides before at only 2/3rds effort and not had my fitness dropped because of it. Velodrome of course is another story.
