This image will self destruct in 5 minutes! Wife took it, thought I looked pathetic!
She may be onto something. That was as hard as it gets!

Unbelievably hard wasn't it. Suffice to say I won't be challenging your win. And yes, I was in a similar state afterwards.

Tried to chat to you Geoff, said my mic was on, but nothing. Not that I would have made much sense.
And wtf did your ghost take Bill, with about half hour to go. He just took off, you must have been holding back?

I think my man cave needs a little decoration, not that I notice when on the turbo.

That finish was soooo hard. You were near impossible to hold off. I had proper jelly legs. Did you start that with Geoff?

I started that on my own and felt like I got a decent start. Then half way I was really feeling it and power was dropping off so I got out of the saddle and near enough stayed that way until the end. It gave me a good boost. TBH I thought my strong ride in the second half would see me ok, but you just kept it going to the win. That was a great ride Adam and I somehow feel it just means more suffering for me in the future.

I did the full hour and a half out of the saddle. But could tell when you got up, you caught me from 40 odd seconds behind, in less than a minute. I had to knock it up a cog then, and that was tough. I thought I was already going at max pace...obviously not.
It was neat having the spectators, meant there was no giving up. Would have been an interesting one to do together, but I think you would have beaten me if it was live. You would have found 8 seconds from somewhere. I was trying for a bigger lead once I got past you, but couldn't pull away from you.
For the last 10-15 minutes, I had no idea who would win.

How about we substitute the Saturday night Chaingang run for the Alpe d'Huez handicap? What do people think? And who's in?

Hmmm, I've got approx 60 miles to do Saturday with the advanced group which means stepping up to 17 - 18 mph average, but if you get a consensus don't let my availability get in the way.
