Start about 5:30?

Geoff
5:30 is good for me. If you start the session I'll join you.
Looks like there's some bots and ghosts in the session, or at least there seems to be in mine. I have no idea how they got there but I have at least discovered how to remove them before the ride now.

That nearly killed me! But bet I spurred you on Geoff? You were tough to catch. What happened Bill? Were you on tired legs?

Check out my new shredded tyre! That's what one and a half times up the Huez does for you!

I was on tired legs so knew I couldn't put in a good time. Saving that for tomorrow or Tuesday. Congratulations on your Active 9 Adam. Not easy to get.
It's sad knowing that I put all that effort in, and you'll spank that time on good legs.... breaks my heart! Still, a PB for me!

I began setting Bkool up just before 5 and it showed Alp dUez as already in progress so I jumped in without a warm up. I could see Bill and I think Adski but then they just seemed to stop. I carried on. Wonder if they were bots? Anyway, not a fast time compared to many but now jumped to amateur 5 and happy with that. A real grind though because I couldnt change onto the 28 on the back. Not sure it would have made any difference!

What kind of head start did you give us? I needed another minute!

I was pretty much going as fast as I wanted to push myself, so I knew you would catch me!

I have an inbuilt limit to how hard I will push, partly because I don't like to over do it but mainly because I don't want to risk another brain haemorrhage!

It really is hard on those long unrelenting 10%+ sections, I noticed I can maintain about 260-270 Watts for the first part, but towards the end I'm struggling to push out 240 Watts on the steeper sections.

I must be getting stronger as I took over 3 minutes off my previous KICKR time. Still not as fast as when on the Bkool trainer though, so when you do the handicap please base it on my KICKR times!

Thanks for the company, and pacing me up the first half, a nice steady rhythm made you a pleasure to follow... :bicycle::bicycle:

I was hoping to average 270 Watts for at least the first 30 minutes (would probably have quit and taken the Active 6) but the long steep sections just sapped my strength and the average slowly slipped down to 240.

Hey Bob, it was me in that session, but ?I over cooked it, and burnt out, so quit after 30 minutes and took the Active 9 rating. Bill was just one of his old ghosts. I did see you start but just couldn't keep going at that pace.
