Hi Guys,

Just wanted some quick advice. I received a bkool smart pro 2 for Christmas/Birthday and I'm just having a slight issue with it. The resistance seems unusually massive even when im on the flats and im in the easiest gear on my bike (currently got 50-34 chainset and 11-28 cassette on the back) and its a bit of a struggle for me. Just wondering if anyone has come across and found/got a fix for this?

Though this is likely a settings issue, it’s worth mentioning that the first time I attempted a big col on bkool a few years ago I was definitely a bit “oh Jesus Christ..” etc the first few times

Would like to join chain gang and handicap chase groups. Thanks.
Apologies threerock. I accidentally rejected your request. Would you please request to join the chaingang again so I can accept it. Thanks.

Did the WC S4 today, short but a slog and a half.
I did a bit of digging this evening and the UK National Hill Climb Champion manged 7.9 watts/kg over a 4 minute climb.
We have 2 guys in the WC that did almost that over 20 minutes plus.
I am in awe (I think).

My effort is still in limbo land but I am pleased to say that I more than matched Tommy Watt and may well have snuck into 6th place on the Stage, 5 minutes slower than Pep who based on the below has effectively got an FTP of about 560 watts.
Of course these are all BKool Watts these figures are pretty staggering.

Just my 2 pence worth, but if there’s ever a good time to pull up pep and BKOOL on these crazy numbers then it’s before the nations cup.

I’d be interested to hear Jacob’s opinion on this as he seems to have a better line of communication with both parties.

Ha! I’m not sure what being able to recognise a cycling jersey by its collar says about my life.... hmmm....

In my defence I can’t leave the house without seeing an Islington cc rider go past ^_^
The same in South London with the Dulwich club ... every other rider around my old haunt was one of these guys or gals.

Isn’t Pep a bkool ambassador with a velodrome Hour Recod to boot? I cannot see bkool doing anything about his watts.

AAAC, still bloody impressive figure from you and a realistic HR too. As for Pep...

Can you send a link to the Bkool page. Can't find the group again on the site. Do you also deal with the Handicap chase group?

PS Found the chaingang group on Bkool site and have asked again to join.
You're now in the Chaingang group threerock. I'm not admin for the Handicap chase so can't add you to that. Its dormant at the moment anyway and no idea if it'll be back up and running this year or not. If you look here on a regular basis, you'll be able to find out if it starts again.

We know Bkool over-states watts but some of those at the top are not far off the ridiculous levels from the Elite Trainers in the Summer Cup! Looks like Pep used ERG mode to me based on how flat his power graph is. Also worth noting the next two riders are on Classic trainers which may be behaving differently?

Me either. But that’s only part of the point. I’d love to hear from pep on the matter. And failing that I’d like him to know that we don’t recognise some of his results.
By saying nothing it makes us complicit doesn’t it?
