Hi Sean, what's your Bkool user name? I don't see any request from a @Londonbg or a Sean waiting to be approved for the Bkool Chain Gang group/leagues.

I’m SeanW. Many thanks. Happy new year all.

Weirdly it says I am ‘already associated with this group’ but it doesn’t appear in my bkool group list.

Message sent to bkool today, if anybpody wants to cut and paste please do!
Can you please tell me why my two rides for stages 3 and 4 in the Decmber 2017 league for the CycleChat Chain Gang while they show in the individual stages do not show in the overall league standings. The updating of league standings is pathetically slow and unless it improves will give me cause to think about cancelling my subs. This should be automatic, it is just a question of running a script and of processing power. You need to invest in this or you will lose customers.....like me, remember league riders are your most active members who are your best advocates and brand ambassadors, you need to keep us happy, we are important to you.
I sent a very similar message to them 3 times over the summer and autumn - the responses back were next to pointless. I then started to use Zwift a bit more to see if that's where my cycling should be but to be honest, a poor Bkool league with slow updates was still better for me personally than Zwift which is a little boring and samey. It's all a personal choice though, but just don't expect too much help from the Bkool programmers ... they're pretty useless and ignorant of their bugs :banghead:Thankfully what they have given us though (for me) compensates for their faults.

Hi @Londonbg , your request was there today so have just accepted you. @BILL S will be setting up the rides for the Jan leagues over the next couple of days.

You may not know, but in Feb there is a nations Cup, where the UK take on Spain, Denmark and some other nations over 3 consecutive races on the same day. We came 3rd last year (OK, last year it was only us, Denmark and Spain!) but the January Chain Gang league is our trials to pick the team to represent the UK this year. Good luck :okay:

That's now set up in the Chaingang group Carl, and it'll hopefully be available from tomorrow.
Did we ever decide if we'll take an overall time for the league or on a stage by stage basis to decide who qualifies?

Because I can't be on your team (only due to my residence, not speed) I probably shouldn't put in my 2 cents, but I would say the same kind of point system. 5 for first 4 for second..

Edit. Applying this to last month's results makes it very competitive. 4 different first place riders.

Seems like a good system - the top 5 should rise to the top

Hi Guys,

Just wanted some quick advice. I received a bkool smart pro 2 for Christmas/Birthday and I'm just having a slight issue with it. The resistance seems unusually massive even when im on the flats and im in the easiest gear on my bike (currently got 50-34 chainset and 11-28 cassette on the back) and its a bit of a struggle for me. Just wondering if anyone has come across and found/got a fix for this?

Here is a link to the results for december the times in yellow are 110% of the slowest time as I can't find a record of your time for that stage. If anybody has ridden any unlogged stages tell me and I'll update the sheet. If Bkool continue to be incredibly slow/ not add times to the league I'll happily perform this role in the future updating on a daily basis.

When you turn the unit on you should hear it find the home position. Also check that your weight isn't set way high.

Did the WC S4 today, short but a slog and a half.
I did a bit of digging this evening and the UK National Hill Climb Champion manged 7.9 watts/kg over a 4 minute climb.
We have 2 guys in the WC that did almost that over 20 minutes plus.
I am in awe (I think).

My effort is still in limbo land but I am pleased to say that I more than matched Tommy Watt and may well have snuck into 6th place on the Stage, 5 minutes slower than Pep who based on the below has effectively got an FTP of about 560 watts.
Of course these are all BKool Watts these figures are pretty staggering.

Do you mean you are finding a 34/28 a struggle on the flats or 50/28, either is a climbing gear.
What sort of speed can you sustain on the flats and what is your level of cycling fitness?
