Bkool Smart Pro 2, the evolution

The second generation of the Bkool Smart Pro, the best-selling smart trainer. Now quieter than CXRAndy's fan, but still noisier than a jumbo jet!

View attachment 364179
Powerful
Can reach up to 1,200 W."
Simulates slopes of up to 20%"
Please remember though that these are 'bkool watts', and bear no relation to actual watts, or anything at all to be honest...

Inertia
Bkool trainers are the only ones that simulate inertia. Smart adjustments on slopes.

Also included is our exclusive 'deadstop' feature! We'd tell you more but that would spoil the surprise, and we spend all our time pretending it doesn't exist anyway! :secret:

Super stable
Their design, with telescoping legs, ensures stability at all times, even during the most intense sprints.

We take great pride in our design skills. That's why we've focussed all of our energy on re-designing the same piece of sh!t unit 3 times instead of actually doing anything to improve the platform!

Plug & Play
No assembly or calibration required. The wheel adjusts to the hub.

Calibration is completely overrated anyhoot right?!

Silent
Noise level: 75 dB at 30 kph. A conversation ranges from 40 to 80 dB.

To be honest anything's an improvement on our last unit. Which gave you all the confidence of having Stevie Wonder flying you home from your summer holidays!

Light and compact
Folding swing arm and weight of under 12 kg. Disassembly into two pieces.

Ideal for when you're finally ready cut your losses and dump it in the bin

Smart as in Bling because its yellow, otherwise just another BKool with probably even lower quality internals than the last one.
Might get one though because it's yellow (not!).

Beating Peps ghost two days in a row must be some kind of a record
Yesterday by 56 sec on SC3 and today by 8 sec on SC2. :bicycle:
Feel free to challenge my ghosts:welcome:

Respect Jacob.

Not sure I'm going to bother throwing in the gauntlet and trying to better what I have already done as I prefer being alive.

That's pretty tame compared to some of the emails I've sent them!

The accuracy thing's never really bothered me in all honesty mate. I can use my power meter in the real world or bkools guessameter. So long as I can measure my effort it's all good really. The noise of the turbo is a factor. And the company attitude is a factor...

But if the guys that I'm trying to catch every week are still on bkool then it's hard from me to walk away from. As that motivates me / improves my fitness more than anything else I do.

I'm not very complicated as is probably obvious to you lot by now!... If we could create a league on zwift. Closed roads, no gimmicky power ups etc. And all the guys with targets on their backs from bkool jumped over, then I'd join up. But alternatively it could be a good winter on bkool. Seems like Steve and Whorty amongst the other regulars are going to push me very hard, and I'll be trying to catch the guys in front of me as always...
They've got closed course racing now on zwift. And I believe you can turn off the power-up thingies so its less gamey. I've never tried to set up races/leagues over there, but how hard can it be given how many there are :-) Hell, I think zwiftpower can even track league results.

No ghosts, no retries. It'd be a live race only.

Me neither. I need to keep my heart firmly in it's place and this weekend's hr scare means I want to keep my hr down a bit. Not helped by mad hat cyclechat chaingang racing... but it was fun!

Sounds like it's ticking lots of the boxes Jeff.

Zwift's closed races are just like Bkool's leagues. You sign in and only see those who are there to race. Select your W/Kg category and race with 20,30,40 other riders of the same ability. Makes for very close, high intensity racing.

Zwift software and algorithms must be spot on across most turbos because the pack invariably sticks very close to each other, so its just down to fitness/ability/desire to stay in the fight for the win

I suppose one of us should find out how to set up a closed race or race series for the CC gang?

I think it is accepted that bkool pro/classics have an advantage in Zwift not least because unlike most other trainers they cannot be calibrated. I think such advantage as there is falls away as the gradient increases. I can say I wouldn't be fussed about an advantage if it brought us together to race at least for the CC bkool guys to try it out properly. Your TT's could always use a PM.

There it is, an invite for Bkooler's to join in a Zwift closed race, lets say Kiss, A,B,C,D. :hello:Depending on the day it could be flat to down right hilly(not done one of these personally), but average 6%, lower slopes to 14% Pretzel. Usual distance around 20 miles, time 45mins to an hour

Can I be Mario though...?
Edit: I think @AAAC 76C would need to be Waluigi...

Bring whatever kit you want to wear:laugh: Better to bring a power meter though, or expect some weird performance from your Bkool Pro.

I found i could reset the pro in zwift by beginning a ride after pairing sensors then turning pro power supply off for 10 sec and then back on, then going into menu and searching for sensors (if dint reconnect quickly) . I didnt always like the difference it made but at least i could assume it was more accurate. Anyone joining a race could do a warm up ride and carry this out before going into the race.
