I'm hoping I can challenge @Steve but we'll see later -- says Whorty, oh really  beat me by 2:38

and even those that beat me by not much, 14 seconds complain they're not well, Well, my knee is still hurting somewhat says Brusgaard

joking aside well done Whorty great ride and wish you better Brusgaard (but not too much better ;) )

SC stage 2 time posted, some of you might want to look for Didu's ghost he beat me by about 2 minutes and watch for the last 1k imo it's a bit of a false finish either that or i was just cream crackered

I was lucky enough to have @AAAC 76C and some very friendly ghosts. Made a massive difference! If you have time try challenging my ghost.

^_^

Well, the bonkers watts recorded on these bkool cyclechat rides should be enough to keep most hospital resuscitation units going
I compare relative to my own power only. Impossible to compare directly with other riders as too many variables. If I'm improving in Bkool then I must be improving in real life, but that doesn't mean I'll ever see the same watts in real life  Virtual watts are just that

Same here Whorty. So long as the watt readings are consisntant ( a well covered debate...), then you can measure your progress. Which in your case seems to be improving by the day bud!

Well my knee is now soooo much better that someone else's knee had to become the focus of attention ^_^

Understanding I have asthma and managing that has certainly helped. Also having tyres fully inflated, fixing brakes so they don't rub, and getting a fan, have all helped. I was clearly riding at a big disadvantage previously, but my set up is now on a par with others. Changing all this in one go means I have a big step change in my times..... Maybe I should have made the changes gradually

It's that Flexi drive from the fan to the turbo that has made the most difference.
However seeing as adjusting brakes is on the limit of your mechanical know how I doubt that you would have sussed out how to do that but it does conjure up visions of small paddles on the spokes being blown by a fan.
However at high speeds the drag created by the paddle on the rest of the wheel rotation would be greater that the assistance from the fan (I expect)

Well the bejesus has well and truly scampered out of me, and I now see McWhorty as the superior rider who needs to be focused on and reeled in at any opportunity.
You'll destroy me once you're back to full health @BILL S. I'll take the glory whilst I can, but I know it will be short lived

I think this thread has a no spoiler policy TB!

But it's looking like a great stage today!
That maybe and I'm sorry if that is the case. But is seems to not have stuck, sorry I know another spoiler .

However the, Respect the Leader days seem to be going by the way . Last years Giro and this years, now here on a great stage that did not need this imo.
