your not kidding
at one point i wasn't sure that i could keep my tow going. i was so glad when we dropped back into the group
i did a 2km lead out at the end and blew before he line
You are THE MAN :notworthy::notworthy: Thanks for the tow :hugs:

I went back the first time as I was at my limit and wanted to see where @Brusgaard was. I wasn't sure if he was still with the @BILL S ghost group or had dropped off. Once I knew he had dropped off I felt a bit more comfortable :okay: You are so strong @AAAC 76C - I really wanted to try and take a turn at the front but just couldn't get the power up

Your lead out was pure Bosson-Hargen  I was pushing so hard I'm surprised my heart didn't pop out my chest xx(

Well, my knee is still hurting somewhat, and Thursday's race didn't make it better... I therefore decided to do an "easy" start, as this was the twice the distance of Thursday's race. That idea was blown to pieces, when BSim crashed 57 seconds before the start, and I had to login and find the race again. Stupid me forgot to stop pedalling, and there was 3 seconds till start, when I re-joined. So I had to wait for my wheel to stop spinning, before I could start (didn't want to ruin my carbon brakepads which are still on the bike since Sunday's race).

Therefore the slower / follow the ghost group start wasn't an option. Luckily @AAAC 76C did notice, I was missing and came back to tow me back up to @Whorty. But in the end, I couldn't ride in the heavy gears for long, so I had to let go and wait for the Ghost Train, which ultimately also left me. Then I slowed down and waited for Steve's ghost before pushing past him on the final 500 meters...

I'll try a 3 day bike rest now, and see if things get better. If not, I'll seek medical help. Heck, maybe he'll prescribe me some TUE to make the pain go away and/or improve my performance. ^_^

In 2 weeks time I'll be going to Mallorca, and was hoping to rent a bike and do some rides, but that idea seems unlikely at the moment as well...

Congratulations on the win @Whorty! I promise to redo this stage, if/when my legs feel better, as today's performance was poor at best.

When the legs get better you'll have plenty of ghosts to work with :okay:

Proud as punch !! I know once the big guns have a go for real I'll be knocked off my perch but thanks to @AAAC 76C 's superb help today I can have my moment in the sun

Almost 400 watts I averaged towing today compared with 360 on Thursday it definitely was not a walk in the park.
I was helped by Bridgy as well on Thursday but for all that extra effort we did not really storm away from Thursdays ghosts, in fact they caught us twice.
I knew we could get away at the end as we slowed on Thursday because we were leaving Bill behind.
