Wow.. Finally made it to the end of this thread... The riding will seem easy after that!

All I need do is for the bkool to turn up, and t be accepted into the two groups... Sent requests to both the mountain goats and the Thurs night group. Can't wait to join in

Welcome to the Thursday night cc group as well! :welcome:

Feel free to join us Thursday 7pm or Saturday 5pm, or put in a solo session anytime a stage is active. If your lucky you can still have a go at stage 1 as well as stage 3, as a bkool bug has kept it open until March!

It was a good ride just did not have anything in my legs to chase anyone down think the hilly 60km mountain bike ride I did yesterday did not help much lol
Looks like my session needs sorting again as its got the usual x against the weight, seems this happens every time lol
if you get chance please Geoff :okay:

Should be showing now!

Hi Wardy, welcome to the BKool Pain Game. I ordered mine direct, took about 10 days, but don't get your hopes up. I think Bkool is run by one Spanish guy in his garage. It's like crawling through treacle trying to get anything done with them. But, they have always come through in the end, just be patient if you enter into any correspondance with them, they do get back to you eventually, and it's worth the wait. I love it, in fact I am starting to prefer it to going outside, how sad is that.
It's a pleasant crowd in here too, yes, even you Bill! There is a nice broad range of ability in here, so I'm sure you will find your pace man soon enough.

All true except the bit about even me being pleasant. Well I might be off-bkool (at times) but if there's someone close behind me on the bkool (especially certain people;) ) I'm anything but pleasant.:gun:

Just caught up on Rundlestone, You guys must have had a fast night - had no chance of keeping up with my legs. Well done to anyone who completed Moncenisio, I'm broken. Away for the weekend to recover.

On tyres - the schwalbe insider just seems to be too hard fo bkool's higher torque also running at lower pressure has created lots of blue dust. I suspect all trainer specific types would be to hard. Ive got a cheap ultra sport on the way to try.
Im sure the the kickr is the way to go if bkool can balance its calibration against their unit.

Oh I don't know about that! You might do it by stealth and we won't know what hit us until it's too late :laugh:
Certain people not a million miles away ^^^^^^^:tongue::tongue:

Looks like we must have been quite fast last night. I had still been anticipating you beating us after seeing your Moncenisio time though. Of course a cold makes a big difference.
I'll be interested to see what you make of the Ultra Sport. I find its soft enough to not slip unless at low speed out of the saddle.

Pretty sure most of you will be relatively safe - I've not done much riding over the past 3 or 4 months - and although I've started to pick it up again over the past couple of weeks, only averaging 1 ride a week, and only getting circa 22kmh average at best... hence the need for a trainer ;)

I think you'll find the trainer makes a massive difference. Lots of fun too. I've only been on my real bike once since getting my bkool but spent twice the time pedalling.

So right Bill, most fun and engaging way I've found for keeping fit, absolutely love it. No puncture, weather or ferocious dog attacks to worry about in your front room. And I push myself so much harder on the trainer, than if I go for a bike jolly around the dams.
As for not being pleasant on BKool, it just wouldn't work if we were all pulling over to let each other by, and sharing snickers! This all out war and competitive aggression is definately the way to play it!
And I will beat you one day. I shall not rest until I do. And Ghost challenging doesn't count. When it's live, you always find that bit more to give don't you, a ghost doesn't. One day Bill, one day! :pump::training::bicycle::wahhey:

Holy crap! Now that's how you do Moncenisio Adam. You smashed it. I will have a crack at that ghost one day, but not much point at the moment. That would just be depressing. But much respect! Awesome time.

erm.. don't recall any of you saying it was THIS hard!!!! My bkool arrived just over an hour ago - and the beauty of working from home is that I got to give it a quick go... managed just over 20 mins on the Col de la Bonette - only had half an hour spare really, and wanted to try a few other maps.. but to be fair, that 23 mins about killed me... got off to quite a good start, but then one by one everyone passed me... going to have an easy spin around one of my own routes from Strava later maybe - or atleast a go on a local route that I know (assuming I can feel my legs by then ;) )
