Ive had a cold this week - tried to start it tuesday evening but lacked the motivation, see how I feel later but unlikely.
Yup! I was just checking out tomorrows ride and its Rundlestone. Looks mostly uphill and takes about half an hour. So I'll start the warmup tomorrow at 7pm. Type Rundlestone into the filter and it'll appear (for anyone struggling to find it).
Yeah, Col de la Bonette is right up your street Adam if I remember it right. I'm tempted to let you go first but I get impatient so I might just have to do it twice. It's tough all right but not as long as Moncenisio.
I did my hamstring in a couple of years ago and I was amazed how I couldn't even walk properly but had no trouble cycling. I think it's totally inactive when cycling fortunately for us.
Thanks Bill, I'll be with you in spirit, and spectating if I can hide the iPad under the table during dinner!
hopefully I'll be up for the rerun on Saturday, if my legs cope with another day falling down various pistes!
Geoff
Darn it, that could be me relegated back to 4th again then. But I'm going to make you work for it Mr Kipster.
We can do some drafting if our paces lend themselves to it. Although apart fom a psychological boost, I don't find it helps much. More of an exercise in being sociable, than a valid racing tactic. On the Bkool I mean of course.

Whilst the cold is fading I have been eating rubbish, if we can make each other work for it that'll be good and just what I need. I have no strategy on the bkool and always mess up the finish so if we're close at that point you will beat me!
Hey! I'll be lucky if I get a third place in the Goat climbs these days. And Thursday nights are getting more stressful than ever with you lot queuing up to take my second place off me.But get better soon, before Bill starts getting too cocky at the front.
My strategy is usually go like a maniac off the start line, and hope I have the calories available to burn, before I slam head first into the metaphorical wall! Sometimes I do ok, sometimes I find myself having to do some metaphorical restoration brickwork.
I have just bought a Continental hometrainer, and it doesn't slip at all. And I stand up for just about anything over 7 percent.Had a go at Moncenisio. I put on one of those schwalbe insider turbo tyres - it slips like mad so I dropped it to 90psi, better but it still slipped above about 9% so I was struggling to keep 300W at high gradients. Is it best to get a normal road tyre and live with the wear?
Certainly wont win it or be anywhere near the front - even with an advantage - you guys are just too strong! But I'll be there to see what happens. And hell Blueface, jump in. Try and win it, I would! There will always be someone to pace with.
