Bob I can't believe you only drank 2 bottles yesterday. I had 4 800mil for the same distance. It was unbelievably hot, maybe(excuse) that's why Tommy beat you up Ditchling?!

Hi, I don't have a BKool trainer but I do have the simulator software, would it be possible to join in to some of your sessions please? I have been looking through the settings and don't seem to be able to access the group. May need a bit of help here. Although I lived in the UK for 45 years I now live in Australia so will have to see how the time difference thing goes.

That's you now in the Chain Gang group Stu so the league rides should now show up in the Simulator. New league will start in July but you can still do any of Junes rides and compete in the present league.

I bet my lack of orientation skills don't stop you two gits towing behind me around the Isle of Wight in a few weeks!

Andy I'm sure you know but all the newer computers come with Bluetooth and upload automatically which is very handy. Also seeing your gear ratios on the screen is a nice touch but maybe the 800 does that already?

Bob garmin maps are crap but downloading 3rd party mapping makes it as good as any other system. Unfortunately it's still only as good as the person operating it

Looking at the relatively small screen of the element I'd say like the 520 it's prob better for turn by turn directions rather than a larger overview. And this is only as good as your current signal. But installing maps on the garmin is a bit of a bore, and I like the idea of operating the computer via a smart phone.

Basically we're all looking forward to your review Andy :okay:

Well, you frigging towed behind me for much of yersdays ride...apart from that las t gasp blast up Ditchling  Oh, and the downhills
We will have elements in the IofW

I think TT had the same otherwise I might find myself agreeing with you. And his spendy lightweight bike and woosh wheels and shaved legs

It would be a very good excuse... If I myself didn't finish off my second bottle at the cafe at the end of the ride

Stupid really, I'm normally more consciences.

I hit 185 whilst being dropped on the sharp hills on the return leg. The group yesterday all got 10 on strava over a 3 mile section, I on the other hand was over 1.5mins down doing the same section solo. I was pretty beaten up by then.:B)

185! Was there an ambulance behind you?^_^

Sounds tough. I was definitely dehydrated and err, fainted when I got home. I had fallen and banged my head a bit but fainted trying to get back up. All very embarrassing and I will definitely be drinking more in future. Perfect storm, hot stuffy night, little sleep, woke and rushed off after a few quick coffees having forgotten to drink a lot of water with a tan beforehand. I blew up a bit on Ditchling and grateful for fact downhill from then down to Brighton. Lesson learnt for Ventoux- drink drink and drink ( best father Ted impersonation)

Is that copies of the Sun, Daily Mail, Express and Socialist worker:laugh:

PB up Ditchling so I cannot complain too much. HR of 177 suggests I try harder on road than I do on turbo:ohmy:

Don't get me started on the socialist worker!

I bought a copy outside my local Sainsbury's a while back. Mainly because it was pissing down with rain and they looked like drowning rats. So I thought I'd give them a bit of money and sign the petition they were holding like a wet rag, to cheer them up a little at least. Well they hounded the missus at the front door for months after that. Trying to get her to sign up to all sorts of revolution themed events and groups. Then I'd get her phoning me at work telling me what an idiot I was for giving them our addresss :B). Credit where it's due they were bloody relentless! ^_^

Bob I think personally I should've drunk around twice the water I drank. But I do think you can drink too much water as well. There's a limit to what your body can absorb and it can have a negative effect. On me at least.
