Go for 120 at least.

That last 20 does make a difference.

Ive always gone 110.. does that extra bit make any real difference?

I, with my current tyre (Maxxis Re-Fuse 700x28) and weight, run between 135-140 psi. If I go much below that I can feel the tyre wrap around the roller. I would just run the tyre at the max rated pressure on the side of it.

Blimey... then again with your new low weight you could probably go up a bit more!
I'm worried something will go bang if I pump it up too much!
In my experience it would be a pinch puncture of the tube (through poor tyre instalation) or delamination of the tyre through over inflation. DAMHIK :banghead:.

Could be 5 or 10 watts at a guess. I sometimes go 150
Wow!

It must be a truly fantastic feeling to see the difference that properly functioning lungs , non catching brakes and fully inflated tyres can make
It must be like taking the handbrake off a moving car !!
Couple that with the time and effort you have been putting in while being held back that must have built body up
I think the chequered flag awaits mate !!
It's my new patented training regime! Handicap yourself for months :B)

100 was rock hard and I was nervous about a puncture if too high. I might try a little firmer if I can be brave enough

I suppose most of us whould have a spare tube to hand and go for it, but if your not comfortable with fitting a new tube it would be a big risk.

Go for it, what the heck, we will guide you through any resulting mechanics required.

Don't know yet, but felt a whole lot better and cooler today! The temp topped at 25 degrees. Don't know about Thursday, but it was a lot hotter.

Door open and the fan helped a lot today! But I think what helped the most was me checking the tyre pressure. Looks like I was riding at 6 bars Thursday, and today I pumped it to the max. 8 bars (116 psi)!

Or maybe it was just the rest day yesterday.

EDIT: Still at Active 8, needed 339w to go to Active 9, today was only 329w.

respect jacob you had me beat FAS

i would have done better but for
1 too much wine yesterday evening
2 to punish myself i started gardening a 4 am
3 i was so tired that by 2 pm my eyes were closing
4 it was then that i severed my femoral artery with the hedge trimmers
5 i patched myself up with a soldering iron and some gaffer tape
6 i carried on gardening till 4 15 pm and then warmed up
7 i started well but about 3km in my chain came off
8 i managed to get it back on without dismounting but jacob was gone
9 i then chased BG to help him but he had my ghost so he didnt need me
10 i set off after Jacob again but made little headway
11 about 4 km from the end my artery started to bleed profusely again so i quickly tore off one of the kittens tails and made a tourniquet.
12 that sorted i managed to limp in on one leg

PS the kitten didn't need her tail because she had jumped into my back wheel earlier which is why my chain came off
