Sounds like a lack of blood to the brain...Hope it's nothing too serious though and just caused by general excercise. It may be that trying to chase @AAAC 76C causes the issues!

I also struggle with blood to the brain.
The blood is willing but the brain is hard to find.

Could be the reason for " more muscle tears ".
It's probably not warming down and stretching. I found stopping the roundabout too quickly or picking my daughter up caused the initial strains and now they are really susceptible to just pulling with very little effort.

No worries DP. I'm on the mend (or so I'm telling myself). Still in hospital awaiting an mri. And yes, the nurses are very nice . Maybe soon i'll be proudly sporting my very own stent in the carotid artery and AAAC will no longer be the only 'special' one.
Funnily enough my second dizzy spell during the Thursday CG was caused when I bent my neck 90 degrees to take a drink of water and if I hadn't done that I'd have finished the race.

Having a problem/blockage there certainly would effect blood flow to the brain.

By the way its good to see that my efforts on Thursday did not auto qualify because I stopped for too long at the beginning but luckily my 29 minute failure on Saturday did.

It was caused by me swinging a pick axe vigorously in the garden and by somehow damaging the artery in my neck perhaps crushing stressing or tearing. All possible according to Google. I would be more worried if it was caused by excercise as that would mean I have codgeritis and it's time to slow down. But yes it was a lack of blood to the brain and still feeling the effects of it. All hospital tests of heart and blood flow have been good so far so hoping to be back on the bike soon but will be taking it easy at first. At least I don't have to worry about balance on the turbo as I'm definitely rather wobbly on my legs atm.

And of course I won't be doing CG2 on Thursday so please someone else start it until further notice. I might sit out the whole thing this month.

Or being allergic to gardening like I said.

PS: It appears Cyclechat has found it's mad axe murderer!

Has your wife been to see you or is she still in the garden?

I should be good for Thursday as HID is not working late.
I can start the session but I will confirm by 18:30.

Managed to find a the magnet that got damaged on Thursday (before the kittens did) so everything is back were it should.

That would have been a laugh though, a kitten swallowing a neodymium magnet.
A real life kitten fridge magnet!
Time for a rest (for me) kitty, clunk!

I think you need to just sit in the garden being watered and fed by HID and taking it easy for a while rather than trying to pick a fight with an axe.

Proof of whichis will be that my man cAve when built will soon be turned into a summer house with pretty flowery cushions and sofas and have absolutely no room for a turbo trainer or bike storage
