Bill - I've highlighted the things that might pertain to you

Dizziness or Light-Headedness When Standing Up

Many disorders can cause problems with blood pressure regulation and lead to dizziness when standing up. Categories of causes include
  • Malfunction of the autonomic nervous system due to disorders or drugs
  • Decreased ability of the heart to pump blood
  • Decreased blood volume (hypovolemia)
  • Faulty hormonal responses
Causes differ depending on whether symptoms are new or have been present for some time.

Common causes
The most common causes of new dizziness when standing up include

  • Decreased blood volume (as may result from dehydration or blood loss)
  • Drugs
  • Prolonged bed rest
  • An underactive adrenal gland (adrenal insufficiency)

I'm often dizzy after racing on the turbo. Thankfully my chair is right next to the bike in the office, so I just have to plop down when I can finally get off the bike.

I've concluded it was low blood pressure as a result of dehydration.

My best BP readings are consistently after hard rides, enough that if my GP wants to add a diuretic to my regimen I'm going to ask if I can just take it nights when I didn't race earlier in the day.

Looking forward to see @AAAC 76C and Skovsgaard battle it out at 7PM. AAAC taking the lead uphill, and Jacob chasing him downhill. :-)

Beware of the dead-stop at 16.4km, when you hit the 9.8% climb! :-)

damn i was hoping he would ride earlier
that is going to hurt me based on my current inability to stay with it.
i was going to sat keep it up but that would have been subject to ridicule

Well, the race at 4.30 was attended by around 50 riders, most of them Active and Pros, so you must work to reach the podium. ;-) I had a dead-stop at 1.3km before finish, when my other fell into my Bkool-bike. :cursing: That cost me a 17 seconds full stop, and a at least one place in the rankings, not to mention the deep scratch mark on the bike's frame, left by the revolutions of the wheel on the Bkool bike before stopping...
