I myself would just stretch more AFTER a run and do self massage in the shower on the calf and then sit in front of my comp with my legs elevated and a good old bag of frozen pea's.
Hopefully after a while it should right itself, that's what I would do but as you know injuries are a nightmare to diagnose, I hope it sorts itself quick for you, like you said yourself though its not effected on the bike so there cant be major damage done.
Hope it gets better soon Adam I know how annoying it is when you cant run, I had 3 years of it!
Bloody hell! 3 years?? What happened? Must have been pretty serious? I used to run a lot, and became reasonably proficient, but then needed a knee op, which stopped me running for 12 months, but I am struggling to regain previous form. Doing ok, but still a good 20 seconds per mile off my previous times. I am doing a bunch of stretches for my hammy, hoping its just scar tissue healing, but as you say, time will tell. Tri season is coming and really want to hit the ground running, so to speak!

I just paid $34 for this one fom amazon. I hoped I could pair it with the Nkool iPhone app. The app recorded a ride I did last week. And then I git dreams of producing a video ala Geoff or Paul.
What make and model is that Randy?

Adam.

Same as you I had a knee op, tried and tried but the knee wouldn't let me so I left it frustratingly for 3 years, I then had my big toe fused and after it healed I thought sod it i'll give it another go.
Started slowly and now although I hardy race (I run for fun and fitness) although I'm 50 this year so may do a few and see if I can get 1st Vet 50.
I can feel a 15 year P.B. coming very soon, that's if these mountains don't kill me...will try to do Colle del Moncenisio tomorrow at a sensible pace!

I enter every league event with the intention of not ruining myself! Unfortunately my competitive demons appear to the ones running the show. I can't help myself!

Oh so that means if I ride this one it won't count :-
Thursday Night CC Feb Wk2
From 08/02/2015 to 14/02/2015
That's right, were on week 3 now. You could ride it to see who you're likely to be mixing it with on a Thursday.

I have now done a few races and it is great fun. However I don't feel like I compeed on the same terms as others. When the slope gets below 0, I struggle to keep up with other riders. Even though I put in what feels like 2-300 watts, I go 50 km/h down a -6% slope. In real life I could do that with no effort at all.
Is this normal, or should I try to get Bkool to do the firmware update?

Well I hope it's a big fat knobbly one, that's half deflated and put on wonky..... actually, I don't hope for any of that, as it will just be even more humiliating when you kick my ass on a clown bike!

Is the Garmin Virb ok? Is it fit for purpose? I can stretch to £120!

That's what I use, and it is a bloody good price. I'm tempted to get a second to mount facing backwards. I paid a bit more when it was first on offer.

I did end up buying helmet and handlebar mounts. The helmet mount was also good for mounting on the car.

Hoping to fix it on my ski helmet once I've stopped falling over all the time!
