Oh yes, it was all about HR etc then! I think for 'The Boss' it was all about the miles and nothing else. I remember he tried to get us to enter a 12 hour as a junior. We didn't partake, but he did. I enjoyed watching him suffer and handing him his food and drink.
Actually talking of HRMs I have a Garmin 235 watch with HRM will that pair ok do you know? I put together an old 80s Roberts Columbus Road bike to try out on the BKool arrives.

Looking at the spec it says it is ANT + so as long as it sends out an HR signal over ANT+ it should be OK.
If you have Windows 10 then you can pair over BT.

£227 new, that's an expensive HRM.

I remember that 12 hour, I can't remember too much detail though, did any of the 'older' 18 year old's try it?
I know I didn't, 80 miles was my limit on a good say at 17.

Hey gents,

Haven't posted much here but getting back into bkool again a bit more. Really enjoying the May league - good to be quite nip and tuck with a couple of people.

Just beat @Whorty tonight by the skin of my teeth in round 3, only to get an email about 5 mins later to say he had done the same on round 1 - nice to have a bit of competition.

Sorry folks about using the Elite trainer - seems to give me a bit of a boost on the very steep climbs - thankfully we haven't had too many :blush:

some of us have to rest ready for sunday and when u see the staircase ul wish u had rested instead of beating me
Tonight was my last big push. Will spin my legs over probably tomorrow or Wednesday but just gentle on the Velo. Will stay off the bike then until Sunday.

How bad is the staircase? Should I be doing the 60 miler instead and missing out the 2 big climbs? :cry:

Why not pop over to Italy and try tomorrows GdI stage, it looks like an easy one.
I may well have Eurosport going on my phone at work.

Ive never done the staircase only the elbow im not confident ill make it up there but ill give it my best go stick with the 95 milier
