Bill, I ended up in Richmond park yesterday riding with a friend who needs to get some miles in. Strava suggests your old times just kept me at bay-must have been riding a pro? Anyway, i thought i might go back next week and put some distance between mine and your times. Shall i let you know if you want to jopin me and we can have a real life chain gang??

An easy way to remember which way to undo pedals regardless which side you are looking at it from is...
pedal in 12 o'clock position, turn spanner, hex bit, whatever towards the back of the bike.

No confusion that way.

I disagree Sir.

The position of the pedal has no bearing on the direction you move the wrench.
You should be saying put the wrench at 12 o'clock, or close to, and turn it to the rear.

Best advice is that if you don't know what you are doing ASK!
Also remember that there are a lot of folk, present company accepted, who think they know posting advice online so if in doubt get more advice.
I have read some real rubbish on car forums.
Some of the guys modding cars shouldn't be driving them let alone taking bits apart that are critical like rolling gear, brakes and lights etc.

Hi Bob. About time I did something outrageous so quite fancy meeting up with you for a few laps of RP. By "outrageous" I don't mean meeting up with you, but rather taking my bike off the turbo and putting it on the tarmac. Speed round RP is very traffic and weather dependant so you'd have to be going some to beat my best times (considering how many laps I did before bkool), which to be honest, involves riding like an absolute lunatic if there's any traffic in sight.
So yeah, let me know when you're going and I'll hopefully be able to meet up with you.

I was taking it easy:whistle: waiting for my friend to catch up. Mind you he had done a 100miles on sunday so had lead legs.
So, 1 minute and 1 mph slower than you around the park-that's something to gun for:smile:
I will let you know.
