On my old steel frame the actual mech snapped across the strongest part rather than even bend the hanger!

I was going to get a steel frame with an integrated hanger, but steered onto Titanium for that reason, aluminium bends first, usually and if derailleur hits frame it will survive unlike carbon

yes I certainly did, there are some fast riders in the group tho. i started at 07:03:45

i got overtaken lots and failed to pass anyone but I did enjoy it once i had recovered!

i did see you join the ride about 7.30 , why are some riders green dots and you were red?

@Goldstar1969 - there's a wide range of speeds amongst the riders in the group so I'm sure you'll find those who you're similar to and have some good battles in the Chaingang league!

Also, Geoff's handicaps are usually very good and make for a very close finish between riders of different speeds - this one was a bit unusual as there was a bit of a mistake with the handicaps (disputed by Bill!) and as it was your first one your handicap start time would have been a bit of guesswork for Geoff. As you do more rides in the leagues your handicap start time will get more accurate and give you a chance of winning if you can improve on your previous best time on that course.

I "think" the colour of the dot matches the rider's Bkool fitness level - yellow=amateur; red=Active; green= professional; blue=Elite

I went back to steel. The new stuff is as light and can take abuse.
