As a newb, an I just check the procedure for the handicap tonight....

1. First riders go off at 7pm
2. Just before your own start time you go into bsim and select the scheduled league event for tonight
3. You sit motionless until your start time (which will be 7:06:40 for me)
4. Go like the clappers for the next 40 mins or so
5. Fall off the bike and crawl into the fridge for a beer

Is that about right?

As a 'newb' you can be forgiven for making a few errors and it's great to see my erstwhile comrades putting you on the right track. I would like to thank them too, for allowing me to help you with one last point. Point 5 - whilst best intentions at this time would suggest that "a beer" would be true reward and enough after a handicap ride - as a regular tail end Charlie, I find that a 'few' beers helps with motivation and in a strange non medical kind of way, hydrates me.. CHEERS

On the turbo my natural cadence seems to be about 93-95 on the flats, about 85 on climbs, and I can get to about 120 before I start bouncing about on the saddle, which isn't very comfortable. In real life it seems to be a little lower in general, but can hit higher cadences than 120 for short periods.

Kipster have you tried those speed drills in trainer-road? The first time I did them I hit 135rpm,. The other week they were added again for 10sec bursts, my first attempt I recorded 175rpm:crazy:.

Let me know when. I might join you.
First one will start between 8 and 9am. 2nd at about 11:30am (hopefully). 2 teams trying to do 100 miles each in about 6 or 7 hours, most are not cyclist so it should be fun.

There's a just giving page somewhere, Red nose day event. I'll try to post it up tomorrow.

Excuse #762: Sorry I can't join you tonight. I've just come out of the dentists and I can't drink correctly. My face is numb to half way up my no'ed. Also my jaw has seized up and I can only open it about 1/2 an inch .

I was looking forward to Luyando-Bilbao

I was chasing Bill^_^

Strava and Zwift show 490w on that bit. NOW if bkool gave that consistent power with the NEO i would be back in a shot

edit. I was trying to spin out clicking in my back. Funniest thing. I twisted and fell into my seat as my bus home lurched forward. Left my back and hips sore. As i rode by back kept clicking. I had to cancel my ride lie down and stretch before the clicking stopped. All ok now though:okay:
There's a good osteopath just up the road from you. I've been going there 30 years on and off. The name is is Bruggermeyer. On Herne Hill.

I think the whole family have been there!

There's a decent dentist in Herne hill, Half Moon, but an even better one in Waterloo though only private.

I have, I think the highest I got was 145 and I was bouncing all over the place. I'm usually pretty stable up to 120.

A miss timed start or two, otherwise quite a close ride.
