I haven't been on the trainer or bike since 28th Dec due to having a stinking cold but reading the this forum and others made me give in to temptation. I loaded up the Brighton run that Harly and BOAB have done mainly due to the 10 mile distance, something I could do quickly considering I have to leave for my nightshift at work in the next hour.

I started off ok but problems became apparent after a couple of miles, I didn't have my cycling gloves on so keeping a grip on my bars was nigh on impossible with the sweat and then breathing became a nightmare with my sore throat and a continual build up of phlem in the back of my nose and throat. Eventually I had to give up which has left me slightly miffed.

Oh well back to the lemsip's and I'll see how I feel when I get home for a half hour velodrome session to get back some fitness.

oh no....erm...this isnt on eof those swmbo moments is it?

Indeed it is, the dining room needs to be used for food not for me sweating all over the place and a place to store bikes.

Is anyone else having problems with Bkool tonight? I can connect on BSIM and my two pc's and iPad won't load the website.

Edit.... They've now put up a maintenance message.

I use one after the standard continental sport tyre, kept losing traction and spinning, especially on the climbs.

Is there a simple walk through with screen shots on how to get the most from the bkool?
I'm still struggling to find routes, such as the Brighton ride. My google mapping is checked, will it load on the route automatically?

When you have finished the warm up and start moving on the actual ride it should display the google earth view. Finding routes created by others can be a bit hit an miss, I found the brighton route by clicking on the map when creating session but I guess you could search using the box at top of screen.

there isnt that many google earth routes on the bkmap i think
click onto bkool homepage
click sessions in the top left hand side
click on route finder in the bottom left hand corner
then move the map around and zoom in the various bkool google earth routes appear as a black dot
just under the map is a description of the routes on display
click on the ride you want to do in the right hand side of the description on either of the two bars that are under create a session
that takes you to the create a session were you can change various bits to suit your ride
click on save session
then click on favourites
open bsim up
press status
update sessions
and youre good to go
or go on bike hike website and make your own google earth routes which is better , ive just been rideing around malibu beach this morning followed by a ride through the grand canyon later tonite
