LIVING THE DREAM
Ditto! That was bl00dy hard. Far too many hills for my liking.

Grit roads as well?
That'll make it harder as well!

Sorry, no go for me. I thought about it as I ate my pancake but realised it was gone 7.
At least you have all burnt off a few calories for pancake excess... :mrpig:

Not just me who found the uphills pretty tough today then?! Ouch

Well done Paul. You're in 1st place on the stage at the moment.

And thanks whoever painted "Push Harder" on the road on that final hill. It actually worked this time as it made me realise I had to push harder as the guy behind was pulling me in fast.

Thanks Bill - I can't see myself staying in first on that stage for long though

No worries... I saw bridgy going for a hard finish and it looked like you had stacked off! Daydreaming again Bill..?

My company has what it calls 'Engagement events' throughout the year, think of them as team building exercises, usually at monthly team meetings. They normally take the form of Quizzes or computer game competitions for example mario cart and such.

This month they want to do something for Red Nose Day. My normal reticent filter must have been left at home and I piped up 'what about an indoor bike trainer event'  . Thinking a few 4 lap velo races between the 16 or so in the team, I have access to 2 trainers.

I'm now being asked about what we can do from 8am til 5pm, :stop:. 9 hours .

So far I have thought about doing a long Velo session. It turns out that there is a limit, 400 laps/100km/62miles. That is achievable with the size of team we have. But 4 hours round the velodrome will be uninspiring.

We need something with a little pain :secret:

A London to Brighton session seemed appropriate

What do the residents think?

One of the benefits of being a contractor ... you don't have to get involved in 'team building' days  Always a stressful day for the organiser as you can't please everyone

If only! I was in too much pain to be daydreaming. I just wanted it to end! Also, for some reason I make much less power going uphill so am usually trying harder than it looks.

You wouldn't happen to have a government contract by any chance would you? ;) Looking to go private now perhaps?;)
