Finished (that's both the ride and me )
Ditto! That was bl00dy hard. Far too many hills for my liking.

Not just me who found the uphills pretty tough today then?! OuchDitto! That was bl00dy hard. Far too many hills for my liking.
Sorry I bailed. That's not true, I'm not sorry at all! But well done all those who did get round. Tough course.

Crepe, I'm bored!
Thanks Bill - I can't see myself staying in first on that stage for long thoughWell done Paul. You're in 1st place on the stage at the moment.
And thanks whoever painted "Push Harder" on the road on that final hill. It actually worked this time as it made me realise I had to push harder as the guy behind was pulling me in fast.
No worries... I saw bridgy going for a hard finish and it looked like you had stacked off! Daydreaming again Bill..?Well done Paul. You're in 1st place on the stage at the moment.

My company has what it calls 'Engagement events' throughout the year, think of them as team building exercises, usually at monthly team meetings. They normally take the form of Quizzes or computer game competitions for example mario cart and such.
This month they want to do something for Red Nose Day. My normal reticent filter must have been left at home and I piped up 'what about an indoor bike trainer event' . Thinking a few 4 lap velo races between the 16 or so in the team, I have access to 2 trainers.
I'm now being asked about what we can do from 8am til 5pm, . 9 hours .
So far I have thought about doing a long Velo session. It turns out that there is a limit, 400 laps/100km/62miles. That is achievable with the size of team we have. But 4 hours round the velodrome will be uninspiring.
We need something with a little pain

A London to Brighton session seemed appropriate
What do the residents think?
Don't be coy ... you know you was secretly flatteredThat was always wrong, cute or not.
Now it's wrong in more ways!

One of the benefits of being a contractor ... you don't have to get involved in 'team building' days Always a stressful day for he organiser as you can't please everyone
