My company has what it calls 'Engagement events' throughout the year, think of them as team building exercises, usually at monthly team meetings. They normally take the form of Quizzes or computer game competitions for example mario cart and such.

This month they want to do something for Red Nose Day. My normal reticent filter must have been left at home and I piped up 'what about an indoor bike trainer event'  . Thinking a few 4 lap velo races between the 16 or so in the team, I have access to 2 trainers.

I'm now being asked about what we can do from 8am til 5pm, :stop:. 9 hours .

So far I have thought about doing a long Velo session. It turns out that there is a limit, 400 laps/100km/62miles. That is achievable with the size of team we have. But 4 hours round the velodrome will be uninspiring.

We need something with a little pain :secret:

A London to Brighton session seemed appropriate

Couldn't make tonite, still on route from Waterloo with HID.
Did consider taking bike and turbo with me an setting them up in the guards van but apparently they don't have one anymore.
Probably due to the lack of guards.

I hear nothing, I see nothing, I say nothing (Sgt Schultz, Hogan's Hero's).

I for one think we should just have a 'Save the red nosed children day' and get it all over and done with in one week and that teddy can have a broken nose as well as a bad eye.

Pudgsy, that's his name!
