Hi, I have another question for you guys if you're interested.
Got an email from Bkool to say someone had challenged one of my rides and beaten it. Fair enough, no big deal...until I realised he'd beaten my time by 10 mins and 30 secs...on a 4.2 mile course which I did in 11 mins or so. On closer inspection, according to the figures, he completed the ride in 1 min and 2 secs. I've noticed that a lot of the claimed records for various courses have ridiculous record times, is this a glitch in the software? Or are there other reasons?
Cheers,
Bri

No that is a pretty average time for most of us that use the Bkool
Colle del Moncenisio will be great practice for you.

Wonder who's going to do it first? :hyper:

This one could be the stage that splits the top 3.. You guys can def move vertically at a rapid speed!

I see there is 'Slope reduction' available now, anyone know what this is?

Congratulations! You're in.
Welcome to the Zwift beta program!
That was quick, having ordered the KICKR I decided last night to apply for the zwift beta (as you guys had been talking about it) and filled out the form, to be told there were thousands waiting, then woke up this morning to find my invite to join waiting in my inbox. Says it's because I have a KICKR, Windows PC and USB2 ANT+ dongle.

I'll have to check it out over the weekend.

Tonight's ride should be fairly short, around 20 minutes not including warm up or cool down, so hopefully plenty of action! :hyper:

See you all 7pm on the start line ... :highfive:

Good spot, it looks like they have updated aspects of the web site in preparation for an update to the simulator.

No change to the simulator so far, but I suspect they are planning to update the simulator and the firmware together, as they have spoken of fixing things in a February update, and I have had pre-release firmware (v3.4) for a few weeks now since they dialled in.

Sounds like possibly a big update coming shortly ...

"Slope reduction" could be useful for us lesser Goats ...

Well KICKR has arrived, and it is certainly well built, carrying it upstairs was almost as hard work as Alpe d'Huez! Maybe all the exercise I need ...

Got the cassette swapped to 11 speed and the bike attached, just downloading the iphone app to calibrate it and check firmware ...

Got to be ready by 7pm!

Version 2.20 ... seems to be mandatory!

Changes in current version:

- Improved 3D environment.
- Progressive user data loading at session start. Faster session start.
- Reconnection to server after disconnection during sessions.
- Configurable slope reduction .
- Physical condition reflected on riders shirt. - Not sure I like the sound of this one!
- Error correction.
