Wow @AAAC 76C the results say I beat you -it's obviously an advantage not being able to see you!

You have much lower watts than me - does that mean you were getting a tow from me, but I wasn't from you? :stop:

By the way I fitted a new chain as my old one had gone rusty beyond repair. Wow, what a big improvement - highly recommended!
I cant believe that you have actually been cycling with a rusty chain...

I saw you come and go a lot when we were at the start line Paul. Then you sped off in the lead and I couldn't keep up. I hung back and waited for AAAC who towed me back up to you. The three of us stuck together for a while then AAAC sped off on his own while you and me drafted together for most of the race. Something didn't make sense though and I found the drafting difficult but that now makes sense. You ended up with a good lead over me by the end.
I was well happy with my watts and being a minute or so ahead of Paraires ghost, then disaster struck. I reached the finish line but the ride didn't end and wouldn't save. I would've gone back up to pro1 or 2 too. Not happy .

Well, I don't know what the feck that was all about..? I could hardly turn the pedals on +1.5%.. absolute rubbish... either my legs are custard or dare I say it, Bkool wasn't my friend tonight.. I gave up with 5 to go and stopped trying - it was like peddling through sand,

It hasn't recorded my ride as I changed my weight by 3 pounds before the ride. I rebooted etc and refreshed Bkool after I'd done a drome warm-up. could it have been the weight change that's thrown out the ride?

Come to think of it, the warm up in the drome wasn't owt special either....

All very demoralising

I think it must be bkool, I tried to enter as a spectator but nothing would happen. I tried several times even reloading bsim. I managed to join another random ride, it was just the ones you guys were riding.

Ah Bill that's so annoying for you

Can you take any satisfaction from it being a good bit of pre- Nations Cup training? :headshake:

Sounds like my rides some days ... the small incline %'s seem harder than the 8+% climbs  I also find that -0.5% feels much harder than 0% which doesn't make sense :banghead:

I can actually because I think it was perfect training at exactly the right time. On Thursday I'll take it easy during the CG and not go over 300watts so that'll be good training too. I'll catch up with tonight's ride and the CG after the Nations Cup, so all good really.

Hopefully tomorrow night. I'm WFH tomorrow so all being well should be looking to ride about 6 o'clock. Not looking to 'race' though, just do a nice pootle. Chest still not great so want to get HR up, but not push too hard that it make me cough me guts up!

Bill to me you just disappeared which is why I ended up with just Bridgy.
Perhaps this is why you had trouble saving the ride.
I hope my BKool gift is around on Saturday though.
I have cleaned and oiled the chain, check all bearings, spare wheel set up, cleaned the bike and I have got my kit ready:

Ok, let me know as early as you can and I'll join you. I'm not bothered about blasting it, I just want to know it can be done.. I should have smashed that tonight ( by my standards)..

Just thinking it through - I wonder if it was set with real weather? It's blowing up here... perhaps that's the deal? But then the other chaps went so well...

I dunno...

Haha nice one AAAC!

You have actually just reminded me that I was given a Team GB cycling jersey once - but it's signed so I don't think I should wear it really!!
