You were generally going faster uphill than downhill which was really odd...
It didn't feel that way from where I was standing. I felt I was doing fine at -0.5% to - 2% but as soon as the gradient changed to > 0.5% it was like hitting a mountain, and you two whooshed past me.

I had a go at stage 9 of the Winter Cup before tonight's handicap race - @Daddy Pig you got an absolutely flying start, and just kept going :notworthy:

I REALLY tried to keep up with you at the start - over 900 watts - and failed miserably! Still quite happy with my ride but very impressed with yours!!
My idea was that a super :banghead:start would hopefully stop others getting a free ride, other than myself next time I have a go!
I know that at 8.5km I slow down so can cut probably 30 seconds off my overall time if I catch a tow...

Edit. Cracking ride though Bridgy, it'll be interesting what pep and Jacob will do.

Why does it take so bloomin long for the Winter Cup overall standings to update?! I've done 8 stages now and it's still showing me as having done 5. It hasn't updated at all in over 2 days.

I know the league overalls have always been slow to update (something I've always found annoying and never understood!) but the WC seems even slower than normal

Don't worry you are far quicker on the hills though.
As I lose weight it's slowly getting easier. This time next year... 80kg is the target, currently 98kg. I started in March 2016 at 120kg so slow going.
Out of interest at what gradient are you finding you get blue speed calculated. Mine is 9.2%.

I'm sure the summer cup was updated daily.

Well done all on your January Chaingang results.
1st AAAC
2nd Bridgy
So no surprises there.

I've been somewhat distracted by unforeseen events recently but normal service will soon be resumed. I'm thinking we can have a blast at WC stage 9 on Thursday although it is rather a short stage so maybe we can tag on another short session too.

Still only showing 3 riders in the classification for last nights TTT, along with Stuart who did it earlier in the day.

Come on bkool, get your fingers out!

Are the others showing the rides in their Home pages?
