Did the Police attend and get proof of the non functioning lights on the trailer, which would have deemed the trailer/car combination as not being roadworthy.
That could help you a lot in any subsequent insurance claims/liability.
As it appeared no one was seriously injured at the scene, I got the police out under the pretense that the carriageway was blocked, even though we were able to roll the vehicles to the side. The guy admitted he didn't signal and I got a voice recording of him saying so. I also got the police to take statements, which they were reluctant to do, but did in the end. At the time I only said that the fella didn't indicate. It wasn't until later that evening that as I sat running through it with someone, it dawned on me that no brake lights had come on, and he must have been slowing to take the turn. A friend of his whisked the trailer away as soon as the police arrived, so it all kind of fell into place then. Only a proper RTA investigator would have been able to tell if it was actually once a trailer, never mind if it had once had working lights or not! Annoyed I didn't realise the lights thing at roadside, but was a bit shaken obviously, especially after being punched in the chest and face by a very dusty and aggressive airbag!

Not quite got three teams yet, if we don't get a few more riders, I'll run it as a normal handicap.

Might be tricky to start it tonight, as my wife had a family bereavement Monday morning, but hopefully I'll be back in time to kick things off.

@BILL S If I'm late please can you start the session?

Thanks,

Geoff

I wont be able to either. I have just gone pop at 1hr50 into two hour sweet spot/tempo ride. I can hardly walk. :B):heat: Everything was going great until 1hr40 at high cadence, then legs just went :cursing:

More work required!

Edit, had some food and bounced right back, silly mistake trying to do whole two hours with minimal intake!

I will of course start it if you're late back Geoff. All we need to know is our handicaps.
