Yes, could have been a lot worse. Guy turned while I was overtaking him, no lights on his trailer. Got a sprained thumb....from steering wheel I think, and a stiff back, but generally ok! Sooooo annoying, like a fish out of water without my faithful Big Red!

Is the BAW cat OK!!
Paracetamol for the thumb and back but I think the bumper needs more than gaffer tape.
Hope it all ends well but it could have been a lot worse.
You should be thankful for modern vehicle design with respect to impact absorption..
Not so long ago the engine would have been in the foot well.

Did the Police attend and get proof of the non functioning lights on the trailer, which would have deemed the trailer/car combination as not being roadworthy.
That could help you a lot in any subsequent insurance claims/liability.

I don't get to overtake much nowdays.
1. The talking Speedo is nearly always with me.
2. Ever since I downed tools and retraded as a Project Manager and Risk Assesor if I do feel the urge by the time:
A. I've done the Risk Assessment filled out the form, got it signed.
B. I have to complete a Budget Change Request for the additional petrol consumed (as I am not allowed to put fiscal risk in my project as this is all held by the Programme Manager)
It's generally too late or we have stopped at traffic lights anyway.

Van man/Tortoise?
Is that not a proverbial contradiction
I'm not a white van man it's just a toy box on wheels

My recent venture into the gutter was quite messy! This is the reason for my lack of participation recently.....Just glad my bike wasn't in the back! Based on this photo....apparently they can fix it!! Harry Potter has obviously found work after filming I can only assume! View attachment 336513

WOW!! Sorry about your van Adam. I remember you had just got it when we were there for the DD. Hope the insurance pays up and gives you a rental van so you can keep on with the business in the mean time. Yeah, it really doesn't look like it'd drive in a straight line again once it's been un-mangled.

I've published February's Handicap league, please let me know who can make this Tuesday's 7pm Team Time Trial, and I'll try and get the teams together.

Since a number of people were struggling to make the start last week, I could aim to start warm-up at 7pm and first team starts at 7:10 (as for CG)?

Geoff

Geoff - I will be back on board for the TTT this week.

Bugger but I reckon that will polish out.

Glad you are ok, just proves that the outside world is a scary place and the garage / loft / shed is the best way to partake in the road.

Not sure if I will make it home in time Geoff so count me out but if I do get back in time will tack very much onto the back of team white.
