Possibly for 5 is it the same as Thursday?

I need to pull my finger out and get up alp d'heux but am I right in thinking we have a few more days?

Ho hum, should've done it last night. I had it in my head that it finished Sunday, must pay more attention!

I was slower than you Geoff.....
I'm teasing you ... I OK'ed it and you should turn out to be the much deserved winner of the January League! Well done ...:bravo::bravo::bravo:

I do wish Bkool would sort out their dates, they leave it current for an extra day but then reject any attempts that day on the grounds it's not current!

I'll leave it open until Bkool remove it from the current tab, should be 10pm'ish tonight.

When you say slower, only by 2.5 seconds. Shame we couldn't do it at the same time, with Rob in the mix as well!

I'll have to take nearly 6 minutes off my time to catch you in the league ... not going to happen! I'm stiff as a board today, after all the furniture and carpet moving Thursday & Friday.

We have until 5th (Thursday) evening, and probably get away with it on Friday if Bkool have usual 24 hour whoopsie!

I was also hoping to do it soon, we could always make that tonight's group ride if everyone prefers, but long steep climbs don't make for good grouping ...

I'm tied up two weeks on Thursday (19th) so won't be able to kick off the group ride that day, anyone want to volunteer to start it, or shall we just skip that week and I'll set up February with just three stages?

I'm on version 3.2 of the bkool firmware. Is that what's causing the problem with the power readings?

Also is anyone else's classic showing up as a pro in the bkool software?

February's Thursday Night League Published

Week 1 (Thurs 5th) - Local Choice - Cothelstone and Buncombe - Only 7.6 km but first half climbs 200m at up to 17%, then second half descends it again somewhat faster!

Week 2 (Thurs 12th) - Mixed ride - Thanks to Pedro, a 22.5 km ride first half fairly flat for drafting, then a quite steep climb and long descent before a final climb to the line.

Week 3 (Thurs 19th) - 100 Greatest Cycling Climbs No. 11 - Rundlestone, 8.7 km with 393 m climbing over 6.8 km of it, at average 5.8%, marked 7/10 by Simon Warren.

"Alternately steep and then slackening off to allow you a bit of a rest, this was a long climb, but the legs didn’t feel too bad. There were some steep sections, but nothing too offensive and after a good bit of climbing, it slackened off and allowed you to gather your thoughts and energy for the next section." http://www.100hillsforgeorge.blogspot.co.uk/2012/01/hill-no-81-rundlestone.html

Week 4 (Thurs 16th) - Velodrome - Usual 20 minute thrash (hopefully with less glitches this time) followed by a short steep climb (c. 2 km at average 8%), or climb can be done anytime in the week. Only the climb counts towards the league.

Hope you enjoy it ...

Going to start Thursday Night's re-run at 5:00pm, seems like it should be a more laid back affair as many of us are saving our legs for d'Huez tomorrow ...

Hope to see as many as can make it in 20 minutes! ^_^

Thanks Bill, that was much more fun than a solo ride, and thanks for taking it easy on me on the climbs. I hope you got some assistance in return, I tried to take some turns on the front.

Also, thanks to Kipster's ghost, catching the two of you on the start almost did me in. I took a risk that I would be able to take a rest if I caught you, but if I hadn't got onto the back I would have been left exhausted in no mans land.

That's got the stiffness out of my legs.

Next time I must try standing for the sprint to the line ...

Thanks too Geoff. I enjoyed the ride and the pace was just right. When that elite rider joined us at the start I wasn't even going to try and stay with him and was quite relieved when he left. I think I drafted you more than you drafting me and Kipsters ghost was also good for a while. I thought he was going to join us at the end too as he'd caught up by the final downhill. I tried to get you at the end but couldn't quite do it.

Sufferfests recent response to my inquiry was :

Hey Bob, I apologise in the delay in getting back to you.

We agree, integration with BKOOL would be fantastic. They have a great hardware and software platform.

We have a number of ongoing projects running at the moment and working closer with some key partners--BKOOL being towards the top of the list--is a huge part of our strategy going forward. Suffice to say that the integration won't be ready by the Tour of Sufferlandria this year, but we hope to see something happen.

Thanks for writing and Happy Suffering!

I just received a mail from
Jared McClintock
Senior Minion for Sufferlandrian Support
He asked for the link to the forum here, i gave him the link to this thread, he will try to get on here and participate. He did confirm, and I quote-
''So in order to not fan the flames, I'd like to make it clear that there's nothing in the works as of right now. I can't comment on timelines''.
I mentioned that if they do need any Bkool testers to integrate sufferfest vids this is the place to be!!
Here's hoping!

Edit:
I have now also mailed Bkool with the request they in an official capacity come into this thread, but also if they would support us in starting an official Bkool forum that is linked on their site?
I assume that Geoff and Bill would be the logical guys to agree to this as they would be the obvious choice of admins.
Of course it is now up to Bkool to see what they say...

I don't mean to try take anyone away from this forum site btw , it is mainly for the new people that join up now, if they have to read through over 200 posts I would assume that it is a bit of a time issue for many people.
I just wanted to add that so there is no misunderstandings! It is also easier for Bkool and sufferfest if they were to particiate in a forum with us...

I believe TR already have sufferfest control for computrainer and kickr through their own system so when they link with books we would get the sufferfest integration by default. They do have to be the original download vids, not converted ones for iPod as the is slightly out with TR I've found.

Along with finding this great little community, sounds like it was the right time to get a bkool with a year of real potential ahead.

I got this reply from Jared so while nothing is certain it looks like there is reason for optimism about integration.

Hey Bob

We want to make our Sufferlandrians as happy as we can. Looks like I'll be getting the ball rolling with them starting next week. I'm not sure what type of information they'll need from us (and this will be the thing that takes the most time, I assume) but I hope to get something off the ground ASAP.

The caveat is that we are a small team and we've got some amazing things on the go that are occupying our focus .
