Andy, I would gladly take you up on your offer but i think it only applies to people who have never had TR before

Couldn't you log in with a new email/pseudonym ?

Just had a go at WC stage 8, just to see if there was any more Bkool generosity in the bag. It looked like it at first, but when we got to the climb the watts was pretty much on par, which I have noted is the case on +8% regardless of Bkool generosity.

Interestingly all the front guys didn't seem to be affected by dead stops. I was right on Jacobs tail when we hit the climb, but in no time a bunch of 10 guys whooshed past me and disappeared in the horizon.

I didn't have the stamina to finish that stage, but I would expect to finish right around Breadon's time.

Im quite pleased with my effort then if we get around the same time i think you would be a good minute ahead.

i'll be doing stage 6 of the wc, around 7 need to knock off around 15 minutes , wasn't feeling too good last time i did it.
That's a big amount of time to chop off. Tricky stage as well as there are big climbs and a large downhill/flat section where time can be easily lost. You need to use your ghosts wisely and make sure there are sone where you get a tow on the flat section.
I've unfortunately been ill and my cold us still lingering but feel tempted with a stage 9 blast.... what's the worst that can happen xx(.
If I get a fast start and fade mid point then at least I'll have got a ghost to follow next time for part of the ride.

WC8 climb for me in a bit. Set a few ghosts around the 40 - 44 minute time .... hope my legs have recovered from yesterday :heat:
You'll be quicker than that I think Whorty. I'd guess you'll be more like 35/36 minutes so add in some of those ghosts too

This happened to myself and Randy yesterday too. We made good speed to the start of the climb, not exactly on Jacobs tail but not far behind, then as soon as we hit the climb we dead stopped and a large group of ghosts behind us didn't dead stop and they shot off up the hill never to be seen again.
I remember back in the day when we had our original pro units, they didn't dead stop and they went uphill much faster. 2 years ago I used to be able to make 330 watts uphill for the best part of an hour on that old unit, but no chance now. Probably that's why I started the mountain goat league. I think we're at a big disadvantage compared to some of these guys now if they still have old pro units or classics.

I have done the wc9 stage, all pretty straightforward, but managed a dead stop on a 5.2% hill! If anyone wants to use my ghost, just a heads up but went off quite quickly and then slowed down later on around 8.5km mark (I knew I should have taken my asthma inhaler before I started!). This should be a good stage for team cyclechat with all the chaingang and handicap experience.
