See when exporting rides from bkool for strava it doesn't let me choose the file type and only exports as a fit file. I can see 4 radio buttons to select different file types but i cant select any of them.

When it goes on strava the distance speed and time are wrong and there's no elevation. Any one else have more success?

I think the distance, speed and time are always wrong because it includes the warm up.

Bkool are up to their tricks again. Not uploading my league rides. Did Alpe d'Huez tonight and no sign of it.

You should be able to export any of them files but I export FIT file and it works fine on Strava.
If you log it as a stationary trainer you only get basic info but if you upload it as a ride you get the map and elevations.
If I get any KOM's I upload it as a trainer ride so I do not take away anyone's well earned KOM's they get while out riding but if I don't I upload as a ride.

Perfect! I'll try logging it as a normal ride next time. Many thanks!

Me too Bill! What time you put in? I just did a 53 minute something...and no sign of it!

I'm a bit concerned it could be related to the problems I seemed to be getting with the league setup. I had to select Huez a few times before it would take. Also I had 4 Huez's appear under the League Tab when I did the ride so I picked the first one. Did you have anything unusual like that at all Adam?
Well done on your time. I think I only just beat it with around 51 something. A PB for me I think but I was seriously trying.

I'm away for a few days now, and d'Huez will have expired before I get back! If it doesn't show up I am going to be tamping! Slogged my guts out on that damn hill! Interesting to note that my average heatrate has now increased by about 8 BPM, on nearly all my rides, since getting the new Trainer.

I did scrap and start again a couple of days ago due to set up problems but it seems to keep the scheduled rides even though the league is deleted by the looks of it. If I delete this one it might make matters worse. I'm going to have to ask bkool what to do?
Still, there should be no reason why our rides wouldn't show up even if they were not attached to the league. Should still show up as normal ride at least.

How weird is that? This is with an independent HRM I assume not linked to the bkool? If your HR really is up for some reason it should mean more power. So could make sense.

Crikey, Bkool have got both my video's posted up already. Must be a record, I only uploaded them yesterday evening.

No 3D I'm afraid, but the Crowcombe Combe video should be a good one for the Goats to do High Interval training on, it's much like Salcombe Hill but steeper!

Crowcombe Combe - 100 Greatest Cycling Climbs No 3, Taunton, Somerset UK

http://www.bkool.com/profile/detail/617652?durationType=DISTANCE&lapCount=1
  • Climb 203.4 m.
  • Average slope15.21%
  • Climbing distance 1.3 Km.
  • Maximum gradient 24.0%
Cothelstone and Buncombe - Quite a slog up, with a descent at the end as a reward.

http://www.bkool.com/profile/detail/617672?durationType=DISTANCE&lapCount=1
  • Climb 200.5 m.
  • Average slope5.83%
  • Climbing distance 3.4 Km.
  • Maximum gradient 17.36%
Give them a try and let me know what you think.

I rode it (C & B) this morning. It is much tougher than I anticipated. Two other riders dropped out before topping the hill. Nice video. Thanks.

I finally managed a ride without issues such as drop outs. I replaced the ageing laptop I had been using and now have a PC attached to a large screen in the living room. I also using a usb extender cable from Amazon located close to the Bkool.Success! No problems interrupting the warm up to start, cadence accurate and no drop outs. It did seem like the resistance was slow to react to cresting a hill and beginning down and at these points bots would inevitably overtake me but aside from that I am very happy. Mind you, my knees are struggling and I wasn't quite prepared for the amount of gear changing I would have to do but these are good things!
