Including Toodles...

Wait while the snow starts settling down there...
You're ready whatever the weather throws your way anyway.

Not a job that can be done at home then.
What do they use that requires getting rid of the taste. Enjoy the Maccy D's....
16th was actually the 6th?
Discounts with the other one. Have you checked the thread on here about that. Seems it's been badly worded.

Just in case. Got one set up the same way for similar reasons.
Not literally in this weather!

Ssssssssssh, afternoon nap..
Listen, I can hear the bird sing, yep, 'A' bird, a George (Woodpigeon, why George? It just looks like a George), the only bird seen here so far today..
WAM, more of a coo noise actually, more possibly a Brenda (Collared Dove).

Wallet emptied..
I tried my old but now new again ATM card and it worked, huzzah
Maccy's cafe then home...

I'll go have a shuffty..
I don't mind a concession for all the cycling I intend to do.....

I have even been chatting on the radio, a QSO with an Italian bloke, as I'm chasing this award on ssb(voice), normally you shout in yer prefix and stations ask for rest of your call, exchange signal reports then a 73 and on your way (once your call gets picked from a mass 'all others' calling in at once). Got three awards so far...UHF contest thing tonight....

You having one, or is Toodles.
Oddly there's been a bit more than usual avian activity today. Not seen in a long time.

Does it ever get refilled...
Why sad if your old card now works, unless it shouldn't.
You don't sound impressed with Maccy's coffee.

I got it for the insurance more than anything else. Never once used the discount feature.

How do you think you'll do in this latest contest then.

Shouldn't be too hard find.

From the picture alone, how would you rate this pair?
Hoping to get there tomorrow and check for any damage, chargers with them. That kind of thing.

Kenwood HERE

Yupiteru MVT 7000 article on HERE

At that price, I'd bite the hands off,
Kenwood is 2m / 70cm handie with a good coverage receive band...think scanner.

the Yup is a dedicated old scanner but see the article I linked to about it....

Not CB....

Check eBay prices for each....
That's the starting price and their estimate.
You feel it'd be worth a punt then. How high would you go?

Problem is..
do they work..
at that price, I'd be wary as obviously the low price reflects something odd, no chargers or cables? but they can be sourced I'm sure.
Also some one else may have noticed them..
If I was tempted and willing to take a chance 25-30?
you can win some but possibly lose some too.
House clearance most likely.....
if one worked, you'll have scored....

That's the unknown.
Very good chance they're house clearance, or being sold to recover money owed. Which might reflect the estimate. They've had a fair bit go through unsold the first time.
Always a chance buying at auction, especially unseen.
Might put a tenner on and wait and see.

Ebay prices for working ones are still reasonable.
Possibly need chargers, leads etc but still available
Best of luck....

We got the heads up about a batch of Portmerion crockery, a service for eight folk...all plates
we left a bid of £100 which as prices went was not bad....
It sold for more than the Portmerion outlet shop in nearby Livingston would sell you it.
Sadly now gone, Mrs M was barring me

Young Toodles demands she uses a side plate with a sunflower on it....
sleeping just now..
hopefully a 7 plus wake up tomorrow morning.

I did look at eBay, plus new prices. A wee difference between the two.
Maybe the chargers are amongst the wiring to the right.
Thought I'd ask someone more upto date than myself for their opinion on them.

It's knowing when to stop is the important part. More a fan of actually being there and seeing the other bidders, as opposed to online auctions myself.
When you see something going for more secondhand than it'd cost new you do have to wonder if those bidding know the price.
Banned from a China shop, you!

Tel her they're out of season, and use a white one.
You've had a quiet night then, with yer subtitles and signs.
Here's to a seven plus wakeup.

Still snoring away..
Some noise around 2 am but off she went back to dreamland..
Almost just over 12 hours..
If you knew the energy she has during the day, it is no wonder...

Good but older kit, sometimes like that Yuperitu (?) they tried to improve the model and failed...
Kenwood is also good kit, my first HF radio was a Trio, Trio Kenwood used as another company had the rights to the name in the UK, dunno if copyright ran out or what..
I'm old fashioned, solid wood stuff and not a fan of modernistic or minimalist stuff.

Folk trawling these sites know what is what..
Must pee off these folk as TV has blown open the antiques world, think of the chancers saying its just an old vase or bowl etc knowing the value.
Someone taking a gamble....

Good :cold:morning:hello:
Peaked at -5.6c 30 mins ago...
Stay cosy:cuppa:
the Towers is cosy for the young 'un wakening...
normally everyone else can freeze.....
Owdo this fine morn...
We went a bit lower proving the forecasters right.
Ooh I will, don't worry.
She'll be nice n'cosy in bed, not wanting to be moved when she wakes up.
You got yer post seven wake up then?

Well that throws yer hopes of a post seven am wakeup way further than you thought were possible. On the other hand "Operation Silent Running" is being prolonged.
Was that you or her?
Maybe she's aiming for a full recharge for the day ahead...
Yuperito isn't a name I've heard before, so one more reason for asking. Kenwood yes, but they seemed to have dipped there toes in most things electrical over the years. And for both, in trying to improve them they may have ended up with something most wouldn't touch.
Always worth asking though.
Shiny and new, on the outside, isn't what gets you interested then.

A person buying for themselves can go a little further than someone looking to make a profit selling them on as well. Annoyed a few doing this, but that's how these things work.
Don't think TV has blown the market open. You seldom see those less than perfect examples that don't sell for much, when you see folk getting stuff valued. Or everyday items from times past. Then add on the commission/sellers mark-up and VAT and it's suddenly not quite the bargain you thought.
We'll see what the pair go for.
