WX? down to ones interpretation of the data at hand..
Big powerful computers should get it right some of the time....
I'll try standing outside and sticking my finger in the wind...
Right, just done that..
and it will rain....scientific or what...
I reckon I have a 50% chance..

Easy, put a flagpole or fake downpipe in..use a vertical..
At the last Towers, I had a dipole which started in the apex of the attic,
went outside and each leg hid behind a drainpipe..
no one ever commented on it and it was there for 38 years..
wire was the same plastic coating colour as the downpipe,
changed the wire a few times over the years..
Dipole had 33 ft of wire each side...

Yo ho ho...
And if the person doing those interpretations isn't correct, or even close.
Some of the time, not all the time?
I like it when it shows them in the pit lane doing similar, despite being tied into some hefty computers to forecast if and when it'll rain, and where that rain is. A simple upturned hand is relied on more.
Which way were the wind blowing?
What chance has the rain got.

Flagpole could get you in trouble quicker than an aerial. Although I'll now be checking some of those near me.
It's sneaky, hiding it on a downpipe in full view. Screams "here I am, what yer going to do" to anyone who does see it.
Black by any chance, for the downpipe and the coaxial covering? T'is a fair bit o'wire to leave in the open.

......and a bottle of rum!

I dunno..
I mentioned before aboot oor cooncil paying through the nose for basic information available online, these chancers/companies just pad it out..
Localised weather radar is easy enough to get access to...
I assume they'll pay well for it..

Used mostly in the good ole US of A, when HOA restrictions come into play but you can put a flagpole up without anyone's permission...dunno if the same here?
Some plastics can interfere with the antenna so only certain types are useable.
Installing new poles has been expressly defined as Permitted Development, meaning they do not require Planning Permission.
4.6m maximum here...planning permission needed for anything taller...

Nor me...
Think ours just listens to the ones on the telly. Blind panic last night when sub-zero temperatures were given out. Gritters out and spreading.
Never got close to zeo, much less dropping below it.
Those doing the interpretating won't exactly be giving their services away.

Over a certain height(Total height) and the local council here expect you to apply for permission. It counts against you if anyone objects. Some highly dubious flags are flown.
I'll check the local rules in the new year, when the offices reopen. See if they're on the same sheet as every other council.
We've one at over 90m tall that never got planning permission. Either as a separate item or part of the redevelopment of the windfarm. They were never made take it down though.

It rained, I got it right.

Local planning rules should be on't website..
90m is a tall one...
I'm being made work longer than usual...
They call me 'El Bleacho'
We'd a visit from the terror of terrors..
passed without incident....phew

Once I've done the next bit, I'm freshening up and later will enjoy a cold one.......maybe two seeing it's that time of year...

It did indeed rain.
Have you thought of becoming a weather forecaster...

Not exactly summat you can put up in the one go either. But they put it where one of the turbines stood, hoping no-one would notice.

They're making you work. Do they know it's time and a half, at least. Maybe even double time.
They used to call me "Harpic", then someone else pinched the name.
Were she too much trouble to handle on yer own!
She stayed fastened in her pram, whilst visiting you.

Did you have the drink or two?
What the day before Christmas Eve(Christmas Eve Eve).

It'll rain tomorrow again...
nah, it would be of no use to me...

Wee experiment today, someone had asked the other day about 3d dragons..
6 hours later....

Some work to remove the odd 'thread' between some joins but it's flexible enough
I don't care if it never works again, I got one done..
19cm long...it was 80% of the original which would struggle to fit my bed, it even has wings...

Blue dragon, weird colour though...
not see the young 'uns until THAT day..
I shall enjoy the peace and quiet (after the remainder of my housework is done).
A chilled beverage awaits.....

You never said owt about the fog though.
Money in yer pockets at the least, for doing very little.

Looks good. All one piece aside from the wings?
Getting the loose threads is a decent job for a scalpel.
Can it reach it's own tail.
Who'd you print it for.

It's a Scottish dragon, all that's missing is a bit of white.
What day would that be. One two sleeps away by any chance.
You still doing yer housework, not enjoying a cold one enjoying the peace and quiet.
Will you have time to drink it, you're sounding busy up there.

Enjoy the peace of today.....
Hello the house...
You're not being allowed out?

You not finished yet!
Any "you time" being allowed today.
The peace of the day will only last as long as there's shops still open...

So around 2pm you'll have a second one ready. Possibly a third by 8pm.
We'd fog here you made no mention off.
Retiring, with yer 100% record intact. You not bothered about what came but you never mentioned.
Entering the market once the initial rush is over. You've a price in mind for them.

Oats done in the microwave, as usual...

Is there much of the bottle left.
Still getting weather warnings about the snow, due to stop in a few hours according to them. It's not started yet! Inches of it! How are we expected to cope if they're right this time...
You'll have emptied it by this time next week.
The sales start Boxing Day, and you're not planning on taking part. You feeling okay.

You'll get some beauty sleep overnight though...
You'll manage....
The same to thee and thine, and everyone else who frequents this thread from time to time.
I can do the eat and drink part, but do I have to be merry?
And I'm not too much into the Christmas thing these days.
