WX? down to ones interpretation of the data at hand..
Big powerful computers should get it right some of the time....
I'll try standing outside and sticking my finger in the wind...
Right, just done that..
and it will rain....scientific or what...
I reckon I have a 50% chance..

Easy, put a flagpole or fake downpipe in..use a vertical..
At the last Towers, I had a dipole which started in the apex of the attic,
went outside and each leg hid behind a drainpipe..
no one ever commented on it and it was there for 38 years..
wire was the same plastic coating colour as the downpipe,
changed the wire a few times over the years..
Dipole had 33 ft of wire each side...

Yo ho ho...

And if the person doing those interpretations isn't correct, or even close.

I like it when it shows them in the pit lane doing similar, despite being tied into some hefty computers to forecast if and when it'll rain, and where that rain is. A simple upturned hand is relied on more.
Which way were the wind blowing?
What chance has the rain got.

Flagpole could get you in trouble quicker than an aerial. Although I'll now be checking some of those near me.
It's sneaky, hiding it on a downpipe in full view. Screams "here I am, what yer going to do" to anyone who does see it.
Black by any chance, for the downpipe and the coaxial covering? T'is a fair bit o'wire to leave in the open.

Localised weather radar is easy enough to get access to...
I assume they'll pay well for it..

Used mostly in the good ole US of A, when HOA restrictions come into play but you can put a flagpole up without anyone's permission...dunno if the same here?

Installing new poles has been expressly defined as Permitted Development, meaning they do not require Planning Permission.
4.6m maximum here...planning permission needed for anything taller...

6 hours later....

Some work to remove the odd 'thread' between some joins but it's flexible enough
I don't care if it never works again, I got one done..
19cm long...it was 80% of the original which would struggle to fit my bed, it even has wings...

Blue dragon, weird colour though...
not see the young 'uns until THAT day..
I shall enjoy the peace and quiet (after the remainder of my housework is done).
A chilled beverage awaits.....
