I've enough up here to be going on although I've called a halt after some really bad efforts, mostly heavily advertised ones which never seem to make Bob's grade....I used to take a punt on something new each time I bought the regular stuff.
Everybody is brewing craft beer or gin nowadays, anyone with a bucket.
Some gin prices were getting ridiculous..
The fancier the website, the more flowery the patter was, the dearer the rin tin tin..Oscar

Got 1.1c at 7am....
Dry though.

You don't like "southern" stuff, how unusual. Most are in the same camp as yourself on that bit.
Well, given the amount of people who'll drink almost anything served up to them, and pay to do so, you're in a minority.
Seldom believe the advertising, for anything much less a drink. "Bobs Grade", have you thought about becoming a taster and applying your mark to drinks.
These last few years have seen a fair few micro breweries open, and close within a short period. Making me wonder why, if their drinks were as good as they claimed.
You have a bucket or two, don't you!!
The price goes up the smaller the operation. You're paying for a unique tasting drink(They never kept the recipe), whose flavour can't be reproduced anywhere.

Forecast says minus 2 here.

If I like something new, I immediately buy another just to try again.
In the name of research....of course.

It's IPA they seem to be brewing, must be easy.
I have a bottle or can each evening, very rarely a second, I drink to enjoy not for effect...
I may occasionally throw in a Dark'n'Stormy.
Mrs M got limes yesterday so that is tonight taken care of..

Anything heavily advertised, I avoid...

I was out and put up the icicle lights..
a first for us but the grandkids will love them,
looking forward to seeing them flash once it gets dark.
I could adjust them as I calculated a foot out on one downpipe, we'll see.
Not bad by eye, I think.
My assistant was away and will be 'you shouldn't have done that, you might have fallen'
It would have helped if I could find where she put the ladders...
Used clips I'd 3d printed as well (alternated with shop bought ones)...
Tinned sardines on toast await for lunch..

You trust your eyes for measuring?
Where were yer trusty assistant when needed, and what were used in place of a ladder.
She might have hidden it to stop you doing anything that could get you hurt.

Just remembered that I'd just passed 50,000 contacts on the radio a few days ago1988-2024 (1990-2008 not included, I returned to earwigging)
Celebrating with a fruit scone and something fizzy....

problem is finding a pub who can pour it properly...

Ladder had been moved, it's one of those which fall back into itself so fits snuggly away..
