Folk see you with one and you get one of two responses. They'll either stop, possibly walking back the way they've just come. Or enquire as to why you're using something as outdated, can't you afford something more up to date.Scythe, if looked after could out do a strimmer..
would advise not to use any metal attachments..
seen a couple of nasty accidents.
Hedges? 38 mins per 100 sq m was our bonus scheme time...
cut, sweep and dispose..
same time for planting bedding plants, 38 mins per 100 , bulbs were 22 mins per 100..
0.3 mm so far today,
another .2 has fallen since I forgot to press post reply..
Just under a 12 with a testy section of a steepish short hill, foot gowping so will wait and see if anything comes out of it.
Got soaked on way back, it was cooling though.
On the strimmer or scythe?
You can do a fair bit of damage with just the handle. Seen one or two car tyres, on badly parked cars cut. Seen someone swinging it above their head, nearly taking someones head off.
How many doing those 100 sq m though, and the sweeping, disposing...
Didn't like you going slow, did they.
Zero, here today. Clear skies with contrails crossing and a dinnertime temperature of just under 27C.
Hope yer foot sorts itself out.
Rained on and no moaning...
