I still use my ft817, it's quite elderly as radios go, but works adequately. I was hoping to find some time to get an EFHW tuned for 20m and possibly 40m but the one evening I managed to get out with the mast I was bogged down with phone calls so abandoned the idea. Hope everyone is well!

I don't know what to with it..
trade in against one of the Xeigu (spelin worng) so I can do WWFF or POTA..
I'm actually using (in my loftspace)what I had built as my portable HF with a small ATU, I can tune 80-6m, just off 80m FT8 and a couple of contacts without spending much time there, not the best but works for me...

More likely lack of use, recommended to print off something weekly with a permanent print head in the printer.
I'll see if I can get it printing again but I doubt it, got plenty of ink so I'll put in fresh cartridges then even if it works, I'll look at a new one, nothing fancy just a basic all in one that'll take cheapo ink

Run it through a cleaning cycle a few times. Might get the ink flowing.

You'll buy online no doubt.

Printer cleaning has been run a few times..
nozzle check sheet okay for colours but black splats everywhere.....I have a monitor and all sorts of junk sitting on top of it..
best get a roll of bog roll and dab(sook) the excess black ink away...
Think a printhead cleaner might be worth a try...
Asked Alexa a question and she said 'sorry'
Ask Mrs M ? I would have got an answer and an opinion

Could it be the stuff on top that's bending the casing, causing the thing to protest?

Weren't your prime some time ago now. According to you at least.
What sort of answer did you get.
How big is that lucky bear? How many do you need before you notice any effect.
Toilet roll hoarding. It'll go off before you get the chance to use it.
