Playing in the local football team?
Will it tire you out you think...
You'll not be going out on yer bike then.

You didn't fall asleep at the scout hut then.

One of yer five a day. Enjoy.

I played for both my primary and secondary teams..
same position as Gordon Banks and the same era:laugh:

Finally realised the time and headed home, lots of non radio chat..

One of these days I'm going here early :hello:
Away from home on gardening duties (in the rain)
I'll rust
One day! Only the one?
Hope they're keeping you refreshed, failing that, adequate supplies of WD40.
Ye'll not rust, at least not enough in one soaking to do any damage.

Any good?
He's in 'istory books though.

The scouts have a clock in their scout hut! That's posh.
Normally the case, everything bar the subject behind the meetings will be talked about. And you got to sleep in your own bed...

thon old style trackie bottoms in the wet meant you could hardly move...
wasn't a fan of ash rash..

'Our' hut is off the main hut...
aye, lumpy mattress...
think the empty bottles are stuffed in it

Not good enough to follow Gordon Banks though.
Other than the all weather pitch at secondary school, we played on grass pitches only.
Trackie bottoms, what were wrong with shorts?
Pulling the bits out of yer skin every time you found another piece could last until you played on the same surface again.

Not in the main scout hut then, with all their mod cons to hand?
Take em back and get the deposit on them back.

Sod that skinned knees...
trackie bottoms in the 60s weighed a ton..
mouldmaster balls ? I surprised they never killed anyone, a 'hit' on a cold day fair woke you up...
took a month for the dimples to come out.
not like these poncy shell suits they wear now..
I saw a bloke in a shell suit t'other day..
no porn star moustache though..
you had to have one of them (both men and women)
been some wacky fashions over the years......

Good day :hello:
Early early start to the town who built the QM and the original QE boats..
lovely quiet roads in Glasgow though..
took the scenic route home:cuppa:
Owdo
This is early!
I suppose you'll be saying it were yerself that built both, in yer spare time. In which case yer older than you've been letting on.
That's the advantage of travelling early hours, less traffic on the roads.

It'd grow back!
Worse if wet.
Slight exaggeration there, but not the lightest of sports equipment. Did you ever try heading one?
Shell suit, you sure. They disappeared years ago. Maybe he'd shaved it off as a disguise. Were he wearing glasses as well?
A few odd ones over the years. Never a follower of fashion missen.

Never headed one as that was for those daft enough to.
You'd have thought they would have come up with something 'less' dangerous..
Nah, me neither. I always wore sensible clothing..
although once I had bright yellow oxford bags..
lasted a week
Most of the so called fashion ware was empire made and definitely not cheap.
The 70s were great but not the fashion stuff..
probably the worst of the 20th century decades...

Where were yer sense of adventure?
They did eventually. Can you imagine of they brought the old ball back for a season, there'd be no-one left playing.
Function before fashion missen. Did you hand out sunglasses on yer walks! They'd not have missed seeing you.
Not cheap to the final purchaser...
They weren't really that bad, worse followed.

One of the alarms decided to trip off twice in an hour last night.
Beag stirred but never showed any signs of wakening..
a gentle press of compressed air and a new battery this morning so hopefully all back to normal.
Kept the bathroom window open for a flow of cool air during the night just in case :cuppa:

Don't blow air in, get the vac on it and pull the dirt out...
Childminding again?
Hopefully, do you date the batteries when you put them in.
Suppose the wind picks up during the night...
