To give an idea of how bad it got. The surveyors for the route beforehand, marking electric & telephone cables, water and sewers, that sort of thing missed the gas main, which crosses the road only twice.
Those doing the work hit the first one, unaware they'd have to work round it. All work stopped until they sealed the leak.

Yep. A tad gusty. Still dry at the moment though so should get the usual wander in. Just enjoying the first coffee of the day and waiting on a bit of daylight before I head out.

When my boys were small, I kept a long LARP sword from the theatre company props department handy and told them if the Thing Under The Bed gave them any trouble to let me know. On one occasion they were nervous so I went in with whopping great sword and informed Thing Under The Bed that it had better behave itself,
That was about 11 years ago and Thing Under The Bed hasn't been heard from since...
