I have a mate that goes up to watch Brechin a couple of times a season and said in the lower levels they even didn't used to bother with segregation for normal games when there would be 400 or 500. But after a certain team restarted at the bottom the policy has all changed even though they are long gone and back in the big boys league? He said they have spoilt it forever. Is there no alcohol allowed at the Highland and Lowland league games?
As I said once you get to the highest non league levels eg National League Premier and National League Division 1 North and South, then there is no alcohol allowed outside the club doors and the segregate most of the games. I suppose its justified when the likes of Tranmere get 6 or 7,000.
Below that level drinking seems pretty much allowed unless its the FA trophy of FA Vase when it seems FA rules kick in??
It is quite strange to see a rugby stadium with 60,000 people in and a good number sitting together and having a drink.
At least in most cases non league can be similar and very enjoyable :okay:

Brechin has a cracking wee ground (with a good chippy just down the street)
I'm afraid Sevco(the phoenix club) still have the same knuckle dragging support.
It happened way back in '80, and their brother club was involved.
Once again, spoiled it for everyone.
There have been moves to try rescind it which I wouldn't be surprised happens.
If thy sell, big profit in it (see my Murrayfield prices)
Presently they are trying to get Colt clubs in Div 2 but the lower league supporters are going nuts against it.
I'm sure there is an ulterior motive to it all.
The sooner some other league accepts them the better.
I'd imagine the same applies at Highland etc although you can still get a pint but can't carry it outside or serve alcohol during the game.
In Div one and two, very few away supporters travel.

Seems a shame @Bobby Mhor that they feel the need to be that strict at highland league games.
Cant honestly see the standard being much different to a few levels down in non league. Wouldn't think it would be at National League level. Bet the crowds are only a few hundred the same as the level I watch.
Is it stricter licensing laws cos its football and Scotland?
Loads I know go because they can have a pint in a plastic glass and watch the game. No hassle and its cheap and cheerful.
Went to see someone else tonight pretty cold but 402 there and plenty wanting a cold drink to watch the game.
I settled for a hot chocolate :cuppa:
