I wish! I really missed having it on todays ride and had to use the phone camera :sad:
I'm thinking of just getting another one as it will probably cost too much to repair, tbh, if I could just remove the broken part, that would do.

This can be done... but you need to find a LBS equivalent LCS..Local Camera Shop, unfortunately they are a bit thin on the ground now... The lens cap arrangement on the front is normally a single piece that includes the two 'eyelids' and the gumpf written on the front, normally it's only a snap on fitting that can be snapped off with careful levering use of a plastic implement slid in between the covers and its housing (please don't ask how I know this). If you remove that the workings of the lenscover are exposed but the covers will no longer be there to get in the way. It may only be a simple spring reattachment that's popped off, as ever I can't help from here! :rolleyes:

The lens cover is in two halves. The top half is broken and hangs down, guessing the spring has gone.
