And just in case you were wondering what an achilles tendon looks like after it's been hit 4 times by the pedal of a bicycle.... ouch.jpg

And Cat hiding in a blanket. The only reason I saw her is because she was blinking her eyes at me.

Old git on old bikes
It's bloomin nippy out there tonight :cold: and I can't even have a hot choccy to warm up :reading:
Probably going to be quite a mild night here as the gritters are out in force:laugh: That does mean however the good bikes get a rest till spring and the salt is washed off the roads by the spring showers. Will lather winter bike with grease round the bottom bracket area and crankset tomorrow.

When it comes time to prepare the dormice, people employ a variety of cooking methods, but stewing them in red wine with vegetables is particularly popular. A more delicate recipe, from Traditional Slovenian Cooking (edited by Slavko Adamlje): “Cut the dormice into pieces, fry in butter or oil until golden brown, dust with flour and, after a few minutes more in the pan, add water. Put in cut potatoes, parsley, marjoram, peppercorns and lemon peel. Cover and simmer until done and add a little vinegar before serving.”

Cut them into pieces? How? include the fur, tail and bones too cuz I can just about imagine a skinned, deboned and cleaned dormouse having exactly one teeny bite of meat on them

Puzzle game procrastinator!
Is that why you are waiting up until midnight?
I think it is because he works the shift pattern from hell!

I did a 06:00-14:00 shift for one summer, which was quite nice because I had the afternoons free, and the sun shone a lot that summer.

I did a night shift for a year which was a bit grim in the winter, but I just gave myself up to it and saved enough to put myself though the first year at university. (I got a grant for the 2nd and 3rd years.)
