Evostik make an adhesive that is suitable for your needs, as do Buffalo & loctite. I take it you had no luck with the superglue & crack!!

Can you twitch your curtains a lot and see if it frightens them off?
That would have no effect. They left at about 4.30pm. It would be good if it sold quickly, as it has been standing empty for nearly a year.
