I live at the top of a small hill - more of a slope, really, but it's just a few pedal strokes across the yard, round the corner and then woosh, downhill to the road, remember to stop at the junction and then hit the pedals and swoop along to the t-junction at the main road at 20mph :hyper: so my blood's up almost before the ride starts. Unless I go left out of the drive, in which case it's mostly uphill for 5 miles

It's the poor dog with its lead attached to the handlebars I feel sorry for.

Nah, you should meet my friend's collie who also loves going out with the bike.

Maybe you could harness a few of them up

Did 17 miles on the singlespeeder in the end. It's easy to do a ride that is mostly long but gentle rises, and then has a delightful swoosh downhill.Saw loads of venison :hungry: but it was all still on the hoof.
I did once hear of someone who knocked a deer down, decided it was dead and stuck it in the back of the car. A few miles later, turned out the deer was only knocked out. I have a grudging respect for any animal that can total a Volvo estate from the inside...
@Rockymountain - you fancy meeting up in Hertford sometime?
It's about a 30 mile round-trip from DoctorTowers.
