A lot of people told me Avatar was crap but I liked it.

It's a very visual movie is Avatar (which I took my sister to see as her first ever 3D movie experience).
While the plot was fairly straightforward the visuals are rather nice and is a film I would buy on DVD to watch again.

How far into Avatar are you ?

About half way. They have just flown to the floating mountains. I can see why this film would be better on a big screen at a cinema instead of a tiddley ickle tv in my lounge.
