Was this on the Great Central, by any chance? We've been eyeing that up for a trip.
TheDoctor has been doing things to kitchens some more. After the Painting of Walls, Ceiling and Self, and the swearfest that was The Fitting Of The Oven into a Gap Too Small, came the Replacement of the Kitchen Sink and The Fettling of The Worktop.
This photo shows the problems.
Zoom in and you can see some chipping of the laminate, a burn mark, and a dirty great crack in the draining board, from when a plant fell on it some years ago.
So, first step was to get the old sink out.
I defy even NT to get that reassembled.
Next came redoing the worktop. No axe involved.
That's where the burn mark and chipping was...
And the new sink below.
Just need to go round the edges with sealant now.
And that's the kitchen done
